Alex

I stretch out my arms out yawning loudly while side glancing David who was two seats away from me, I saw him shook his head chuckling softly to me as I caught the attention of the teacher.

"Everything alright Alexandria?" Ms. Luther asked me.

I shook my head smiling shyly, "No I'm good."

She eyed me a little before going back to her novel in her hand. Music was the last exam for me, we already did the practical days before and now it was the written and the pages were thick with multiple choice and structured questions. My head hurt and time was my enemy.

I sighed looking back at David whose attention was on his paper going back and forth making sure his answers were okay. I noticed him stop then he turned looking back at me a frown on his lips, I realized I was staring for too long and looked away giving my paper my attention.

It was when I handed up my paper and went outside when I heard him say something. "Why were you staring at me?" he asked casually his arms folded around his chest.

I shrugged then nudged to what made me interested, "You wore glasses today, I didn't know you had those."

He frowned, touching his black rimmed glasses and pulling it off. "Yeah," he muttered before putting it away, "It's just for reading purposes I'm not blind."

"I never said you were," I said ready to walk.

David chuckled and followed along, "Someone is in a bad mood, what test too hard?"

I stopped looking at him, "You think it was?"

He smirked, his bronze eyes shimmering with mischievousness, "No I knew everything on that paper."

I rolled my eyes, "You're annoying when you boast."

"And you're annoying when you –"

As he was about to open his mouth but was stopped as a classroom door opened, Chloe and Luke were walking outside as they finished their test. Luke caught David's attention, the two aren't really well acquainted except when Luke comes to pick me up from lessons and I know Luke's jealous, his eyes never lie so seeing me and David together just makes it awkward.

"I'll see you around Alex," David muttered under his lips.

"But –"

David walked away with the icy blue eyes staring behind him. Chloe felt the tension and patted Luke on the shoulder. I clenched my jaw at this, so he can have a girl as a friend but when it's the opposite he has a problem.

"I'll see you later Luke, we've got that last test."

"Yeah okay Peterson," he said his eyes on me.

I glared back at him just to make sure he knows I'm angry at how he's behaving. When Chloe left I started walking away too but he held my arm, "Hey."

I pulled away, hissing at him, "So what you can have girls as friends but when I make friends you have a problem."

He looked around, wondering if I was too loud, I wasn't he was overreacting. "I never said I have a problem with Robinson," he whispered back.

"His name is David," I growled.

He stepped closer wanting to hold my hand again but I wasn't in the mood, unlike David who said the exam was easy I thought it was difficult and I felt like this wasn't the only one I'll fail.

The classes here were too difficult, too advance and I was dropping behind no matter how much I read my notes and I felt like having Luke around wasn't making it easier for me.
