(Bakugou just left the room)

The students of Class 1-A don't know what to do after Bakugou walks out of the room, all of them confused. Kirishima looks over to Ashido, lost. The pink girl sighs dramatically, takes a deep breath, and walks up to her red headed friend. She looks up into his red eyes for a moment, serious expression on her face, before she gives him a cold, hard slap across his cheek.

Kirishima gasps as his head is tossed to the side, arms going out to steady himself. He turns back to Ashido angrily. "What was that for?" he shouts.

Ashido scowls. "You didn't talk clearly enough and I bet Bakugou thinks we don't know he's gay and is still hiding in his little damn hidey-hole thinking we are homophobic! I thought that we agreed to follow him, too!" she yells, tossing her hands up in the air, exasperated. "Do any of you even know where he went?" She turns and observes the crowd with a sarcastically raised eyebrow. "Of course not! Okay Bakusquad, get out there and find our Blasty boy! Show him we love him!" she screams like a cheerful battle cry. The other members of the squad shout "Alright!" before they head towards the exit, going out to find Bakugou.

"Okay, but where should we all go?" Kirishima asks, causing everyone to stop in their tracks as he scratches his chin nervously.

Ashido, Sero, and Kaminari think for a moment before Sero decides, "I guess I'll go on roofs and stuff 'cuz of my quirk and Bakugou could've gone up using his explosions. Mina, how about you and Kirishima go into the forest area. I know he like hikes, so it's possible he's there. Then Kaminari should go check out the path to school. Sound good?"

The black haired boy receives nods and smiles before they break off, going their separate ways. When Ashido and Kirishima reach the small forest, they each take a side, nodding happily at each other before going in for the search.

Kirishima ducks under branches and stumbles over the uneven earth as he walks in between the barely visible trees, wondering how Bakugou ever does this so gracefully and even enjoys it. The redhead shouts Bakugou's name, hoping for a response to make his task easier, and grumbles when he receives none. "Come on, Bakugou," he mutters grumpily yet good heartedly under his breath as he dodges yet another tree's limb. That's when he hears them. The barely audible sound of explosions comes from his right. "Crap," he swears, and takes off at a sprint towards the sound. What if something happened to Bakugou? What if villains attacked? What if they took him away again? Kirishima wouldn't let anyone or anything take Bakugou from him.

He goes towards where he heard the explosions when it goes silent for a moment and Kirishima's heart stops. What's wrong? What happened? Another explosion goes off, this one far louder, and probably far larger than the rest.

Boom

"Bakugou!" Kirishima screams, panicked. "Bakugou, please yell if you hear me!" He quickens his already relentless pace towards where there was once the sound of explosions. But there aren't any, anymore. Kirishima shakes his head vigorously to stop his negative thoughts from overcoming him. That is when he notices a patch of light ahead of him, and makes his way towards it, hoping, with all his heart, that Bakugou would be there.

When he arrives at the clearing, he flings his head around jarringly, looking for any sign of his partner. He almost runs in another direction until he spots a small tuft of ash blonde hair poking up from the oddly shaped base of a tree.

"Bakugou?" Kirishima calls questioningly, beginning to jog towards the other boy, more of the blonde hair coming into view. "Hey, are you alright? I heard—" Kirishima's eyes widen impossibly large when he gets a full view of Bakugou.

The strong-willed boy so few—too few—people gave a chance

Kirishima's body begins to tremble.

His best friend

The redhead falls to his knees, hands going up to wrench at the sides of his hair painfully.

The boy he loves

"NOOO!" Kirishima's shriek pierces the slowly darkening, cloudy sky and his own ears as he falls to the ground, curled, tearing at his hair as his head crashes into the dirt. Tears cascade from his eyes as he begins to sob. A moment later, he looks back up at Bakugou and haphazardly crawls across the dirt and rocks, tearing up his unhardened hands and knees as he races towards his friend. "PLEASE!" he screams as he finally reaches the other boy.

A boy whose leg was burnt to a crisp by his own hand.

A boy who sits in an ever-growing pool of his own blood that is splattered across his whole body.

A boy who looks like life itself has left him slouched against a tree.

Kirishima lifts trembling hands toward his friend, eyes barely seeing, let alone comprehending, the scene as they leak salty water, and sits back onto his knees, unable to get himself to touch the boy. Unable to accept the fate that has been left to him.

"Bakugou..." he whines pleadingly, eyes filled with such pain, suffering, and heartbreak it could churn the hearts of the dead. "Please," he begs, tearing a hole through his lip with his sharp teeth as he gnaws at it. He finally grips onto the blonde, pulling the motionless body to himself. "Don't leave me... please... y-you can't leave me! Do you hear me? Bakugou! Please!"

But as Kirishima stares down at Bakugou's face, he is most terrified by the expression. An expression none of them have ever seen on the blonde's face. One of pure relaxation without any stress, anger, or pain.

Chest heaving rapidly and sporadically, practically hyperventilating, Kirishima begs, with all his heart and soul, leaning his head down to touch his forehead to Bakugou's. More tears fall, dripping and flowing over Bakugou's face as Kirishima registers how terribly cold the other boy's skin is. "I'm so sorry, Bakugou... I-I'm so f-fucking s-sorry that I-I never saw wh-what you have always been de-dealing with," Kirishima chokes out through his endless sobs. "I'm s-sorry I didn't find o-out wh-who has be-been hurt-ting you. I-I'm sorry I—" Kirishima's eyes can't see anymore through the flood of tears that fills them as he clenches his sharp teeth teeth. "I-I'm sorry I al-always used y-your quirk and n-never kn-knew... I sh-should've know! I c-could've s-stopped! I'm s-sorry! I'm so so so so s-so f-fucking sorry. And I—" he bites his lip to try to stop even more tears from appearing, and fails as they fall even more heavily as if trying to flood the earth.

"And I am so sorry th-that I n-never told you that I l-love y-you, Bakugou..."

Kirishima hugs Bakugou's limp body to his own, one of the blonde's arms falling to the ground beside them and his head lolling, mouth agape, onto Kirishima's chest.

"AHHH!" comes a scream from Kirishima's side. He looks up to see Ashido staring at him with a terrified gaze.

"Mina..." Kirishima says brokenly, "he's cold..."

Mina's eyes fill with tears and she shrieks, "What the hell are you doing? Get him to Recovery Girl!"

Kirishima jolts and leaps to his feet with Bakugou in his arms and a pained grimace on his face. How could he not have automatically thought to do that? Some hero he is, tears flowing down his face as he doesn't even think of the nurse. With one more glance down at Bakugou, Kirishima sprints in the direction he came from and all he could think is please be okay, Bakugou. Please be alright. Please come back to me.

I'm sorry.

I love you.

Don't leave me...
