It has been three weeks, Just me and little Meg. Today, Ayden comes home. I am so excited. He is going to meet his daughter.

I know that he has to travel back and forth. But it is so worth it. I get ready for the day and get Meg ready. I take her down stairs and into the kitchen to get her bottle. Cheyenne and Van are moving out, considering that Van got a football scholarship.

I got Meg's bottle and fed her while she was on my arms. We sat at the table as she was eating. Kyra walks in and grabs herself something to eat.

"Well, everything will be getting back to normal." I say. "Thank the lord." She says. "I thought you will miss them." "No way, they always take the attention and it's not fair." "I know, you have been out of the spotlight because of them. But now you won't have to worry about it."

Meg finished her bottle and I burp her. I then hear the door open. "Gracelyn." I know this voice. "Ayden!" I say as I saw him. I put Meg in her bed. I then gave him a hug.

"I missed you." I said as I hug him. "I missed you too." He said. "Want to meet someone?" "Sure." I walk him over to the crib. "This is your daughter, Meg." "She is the cutest thing ever."

"She has your eyes and nose. Isn't she beautiful?" I say. "She is the most precious thing I could treasure. Besides you." "Awe, That's sweet."

"Speaking the truth." "How long are you staying for?" I asked. "For a week, then I have to go back." "That's amazing." We sit down and talk, catching up what has happened.

I hope this stays like this forever but I know it won't. I got to enjoy it while I can.

The next day, I woke up and seen Ayden gone. I didn't hear Meg either. I was getting a little scared. "Ayden!" "Meg!" I got up and looked around until I found them in my room, reading a book.

I just stand there, watching this cute moment. After he puts her to bed, I come in. "You are the best with her." "I know." "Don't get cocky." "I'm not. Just wanted to spend some alone time with her." "You can as much as you want. I know it has to be hard on you. It's hard on us." "Yeah, it is. Seeing you and Meg has been the best. But, I am going to miss it when I go back." "I know."

As we were going to kiss, we heard a scream. We ran down stairs. The front door was open. Christmas lights were hung on the roof but was hooked on Van's leg. Then there he was on the ground. We all ran out there to help him.

But only a few of us went with Van to get checked out. The rest of us stayed here.

We sat and watched tv with Meg still sleeping in her bed. "I wish it could always be like this." I say. "Me too."

"I know you have to go back but l would love it, if you stayed." "Me too, Grace. But I am doing this for us." "I know. But I actually love seeing your face." "I know. But it won't be like this forever." "Okay."

We kiss desperately laced with passion.

The next few days, Mom had to help Cheyenne out. They lost their apartment and scholarship.

But it was just Van being Van, dropping the scholarship and not talking to Cheyenne about it.

Which making Mom having to fix everything.

As for me, I spent my days with Ayden and Meg.

Enjoying every moment together as a family.

But it soon ended as Ayden had to leave on Saturday night to get back to LA before Monday morning.

I was upset but I knew I would see him again. He is making it his mission to come see us every weekend.

So, at least we can see each other.

I got Meg ready for bed and she was asleep as I sat out on the front porch in Pj's, thinking about Ayden.

I didn't hear the door close.

Mom sat beside me and leaned my head against my head.

"I know, Grace. This is hard for you."

"Yeah, mom. It is. It feels like my heart is breaking. I love him and I want to be with him. I know why he is doing this. But it doesn't hurt any less."

"I know, baby. But just have hope one day everything is okay and Ayden is home safe with you and Meg."

"Thanks mom. You know what to say."

"That's because I'm mom."

We smile and laugh.

"Come on, I have fresh baked Cookies with milk waiting for you." She said as she dried my tears.

We went in and I had my cookies while under a blanket, watching a movie.

Some point, I fell asleep during the movie.

Mom covered me up and let me sleep.

But before she left, she kissed my forehead.

Indicating everything will be fine.
