Graduation Season...

The last month...

It's the last month, wow it has went by fast. Ayden has been in Los Angeles. We call and write letters to each other. I am suppose to have the baby any week now.

I wanted to have someone in there with me. I originally wanted Ayden in there with me. But that plan backfired.

Here we are on the couch, watching tv. Mom comes in and gives us smoothies. "Okay, I have near it down to nana, grandma, or and yeah. And Katherine."

"Why Katherine?" Asked Cheyenne. "I have always liked that name."

Van comes in and say, "got our caps and gowns." He hands me mine and I get up and walk up stairs to hang it up.

I come back down stairs and sit down. We hear a knock on the door. Mom gets it and Mrs.Hodge comes in with a bag.

Mom jokes with her but she doesn't like it. "I came by to see if Cheyenne and Gracelyn has had the baby yet." "No, baby yet." Said mom

Kyra says something sarcastic and Mrs. Hodge is unfazed. She gives us something. It's our diplomas.

"It's my diploma?" Said Cheyenne confused. "I figure a long ceremony will not be good for them." Mrs.Hodge says, with fake concern.

"You mean you're worried about your school precious reputation." I said. "I am just doing my best under these circumstances." "Oh you mean when me and Cheyenne shows up with our huge stomachs walking up on the stage to get our diploma. So, here take this I don't want this lame excuse." I say, handing her mine back.

"Here take this." Cheyenne says. She hands her it and then she gets up and walks over to her and hands it to her.

Mrs.Hodge walks to the door and Jake moos like a cow. Everyone laughs when she left. "I am so proud of you both." Said Mom.

"Thanks, mom." We said. "That's the fastest we seen you move in a week." We all laugh at it. It's true, she was like a snail when getting up.

I hear my phone ring, I look at it. It's Ayden. I answer it. "Hello, Ayden." "Gracelyn?" "Yeah, you called." "Yeah, I did. I just wanted to see how everything is with you." "Oh you know everything is just fine." "That's great. I can't wait to see you in a couple weeks." "Really, you are coming after graduation?" "Yeah, I am."

I can't wait to see him. We talk a little bit more and we hang up. I sit at the kitchen table and eat strawberries with honey. I love it, it tastes really good.

I sit there and think about Ayden. And the kiss that we shared. Am I fooling myself? I just don't want to get hurt again. But, he has been a different person.

He changed from being a jerk to a sweet, caring person. Oh no, I think I am in love with him. "NO!" I screamed. Everyone came running in. "Are you okay?"Asked Mom. "No, I am not fine." "What's wrong?" Asked Kyra.

"I am in love with Ayden." Everyone just bursts into laughter. "It's not funny." "Oh, I know. But you got to know that would have happened eventually." Said Mom.

"No, I didn't think that nor would know that." "I know it might be a scary thing. But at least he is changing for the better." "I should've known but, I didn't think of it." "Does he feel the same way?" "Maybe? I knowst how you guys are getting closer to each other. I known it would happen eventually."
