The life of Gracelyn Hart

Chapter 2

My alarm clock goes off and I hit the snooze button. I get up and yawn, then I stretch into the sky. I then got up and got ready for the appointment,we have today. I run into the shower and get washed up. I dry off then get dressed into a peach colored dress with white heels. I put on a jean jacket. I walk down the stairs and quickly get something to eat. Then ran back upstairs and brushed my teeth and fixed my hair. I was the first one done. So, I walked downstairs and sat on the couch and watched tv.

I heard everyone rushing to get ready. I chuckled to myself. About at least an half n' hour goes by and everyone is ready. We rushed to get in the car and drive off to the appointment. We run into the building and we got there just in time. We were called back, it was Me, Cheyenne, Kyra, Dad, Mom, and Jake. Mom was going on and on that we didn't need therapy. Then, Dr.Peters came in and we started to talk about what has happened in court.

Then mom said,"That's enough, we are going to settle this without therapy, no offense." She looks at the doctor. The doctor doesn't look offended. "Hey, I get paid either way." Mom then looks at Dad and says, "Come home and deal with this midlife crisis how other men deal with it. Buy a corvette or pierce something, whatever it takes."

Dad looks at mom and says,"Me and Barbara Jean are getting married. " "What, you don't have to marry her." " I do, have to marry her." "Marry her, the only way you have to is--- Oh my gosh." "What?" Jake asked. "Oh my gosh." mom says. "What?" Jake asked once again.

"Barbara Jean is pregnant." Kyra says. "I thought Cheyenne and Gracelyn was pregnant." Jake said. Mom and Dad were shocked. "Shut up, Jake." Cheyenne says. "Relax he is just a stupid kid." Kyra says. I sit there speechless. "I am not stupid, I found pregnancy tests in the trash can." "Oh my gosh." Mom says. "I am going to kill you!" Cheyenne says and tackles Jake and everyone has to get her off of him.

In the car, everything was quiet. I run up to my room, when we got home. "I can't believe it." I lay on my bed and cry. How am i going to face them now? They look so upset with me. I hear a knock on the door. I say,"Come in." Kyra comes in and say," Mom wants you downstairs." We walk out and I sit on the chair. I see Dad and Cheyenne with Van on the couch.

"How did it happen?" mom asked. "I don't know how do it usually happen? It was dark and---" dad said "Not you!" Mom said. "I mean this, Gracelyn and Cheyenne." "I gave you both the talk." Mom said. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." I said. "What happened Gracelyn?"

"I gave Ayden another chance. But, like always I was wrong. He said he changed. And me with the good heart gave the second chance that he didn't need. So, we dated again and one night, bang it happened." "Does Ayden know?" mom asked.

"Yes, he does. but he broke up with me and doesn't want anything to do with the baby." I said with tears welling up in my eyes. "I am sorry, Grace. But, you should've known he would do something like that." Dad can't look at me.

I know he thinks I am a disease. But, I don't care. I have to do the best way to handle this situation. "I should of but I really thought he did changed." "I know, baby. But, people can put on a good enough act to get what they want." Mom says as she hugs me. Then everyone leaves after the discussion and we get ready for bed.

I get a shower and change into my pj's. I walk down to the kitchen. I fix myself a bowl of cereal. I eat then head upstairs. When I head upstairs, I hear mom and Cheyenne. So, I walk to her room and see mom found out Van was in her room. After the yelling and stuff. Out of the blue, Van proposes to Cheyenne. I felt a pang of jealousy.

But, I try to shake it off. So, Cheyenne and Van are getting married. "Oh, Gracelyn, I didn't know you were here." "It's fine, what's all the excitement about?" I asked. "Me and Van are getting married."

"Oh, that is exciting." I say, trying not to sound hurt. "Grace, can you be my maid of honor?" "Yeah, why not." I hug her and then turn to go to my room.

I get to my room and jump into my bed and get under the covers. I fell asleep when I hit the pillow.
