I went to isis house to check on her, she already unlocked the door for me. I walked in and she was laying there on the couch.
"Hey, I brought some things for you." She didn't even look up to see what I had. I walked over to the kitchen and sat the bag on the counter.
I started pulling the things out the bag, naming each of the stuff I took out. "Donuts, salt & vinegar chips , sprite, and Night quill."
"Why do you have night quill?" "You haven't been to sleep since yesterday, you need some rest."
She didn't say anything back, I walked over with the snacks and medicine. I sat on the seat next to her, her hair was messy, her face looked dry. I opened the night quill cap and she got up.
"I know how you feelin right now." I said "...you do?" She took the donuts of the container.
"Yeah I do, you thought me and sad eyes relationship was perfect?" I laughed "hell no it wasn't, it was a roller coaster...I wanted to leave so many times."
"Why didn't you?" "There was no reason to, Do I love him?,yes, Do I love the life that he's in?,no, But I understand and I think me knowing where he's coming from made it better."
"Did it make you look at him differently?" "...it did for a little bit, I thought he was a monster. I didn't know a human can do that to anybody but once you've been put in a position when you have to do it. I knew that he would do anything to protect me to protect his family."
"He's a good man for you, I yelled at spooky." "I don't want to say go and apologize because it's not your fault you're not prone to seeing stuff like that but he's prone to react like that and I can tell he feels bad, he shouldn't have to say sorry either Isis that's what he's known to do."
She didn't say anything back, I started rubbing her back. "I'm leaving, do you want anything before I go or do you want me to stay a little longer?"
"...I want Oscar" Tears started coming down her face, I leaned her into me. She was crying into my arm.

I walked into Oscar house, he was on the couch and sad eyes was sitting on the arm rest.
"I went to see isis." "How is she?" Spooky said "Not horrible but bad."
"This is all my fault, i-if I would've just calmed down for a second none of this would've happene-" Sad eyes cut him off. "Noo, don't blame yourself."
"Exactly, it's not your fault, it's none of y'all faults. You did what you felt that would protect her."
"The way that she looked at me, it's like she was so afraid like she didn't even know me. Like I was a stranger to her."
