HOMECOMING

A few weeks later..
Rose had lost both her parents and was an orphan then.
Joe had shifted with her to accompany her and help her move on.
They had given the ground floor on rent which would pay for Rose's extra expenses.
Rose's tution fee was something yet to be sorted.
They had the first floor amd basement of the house to themselves.
Rose spent most of the time in the basement. After a week she decided to go back to school.
After two classes Rose was in the cantine waiting for Joe to reach when she saw Andrew and thought of thanking him for being a shoulder for her to cry on.
As she started to approach him he was already on top of a table and shouted that he loved someone present in the cantine. Rose felt shocked. And, Andrew said that it, was Kat. Kat shrieked a happy shriek,
and said that it was a dream come true for her.
Rose took a step back. She was extremely shocked by Andrew's sudden change of feelings. She tried her best to control her tears but could not so she went into the wasbroom and came back smiling as if nothing had happened.
She met Joe on her way to a class and asked her if she saw waht happened in the cantine. Joe nodded and said that she was extremely shocked as well and that they should talk about it later and focus on homecoming. Joe suggested that Rose asks Peter - the hospital guy - to p. homecoming
Rose said that she would think of it and tell her.
____________LATER AT HOME _________

Joe asked Rose about how she was feeling about Andrew proposing Kat in front of everyone.
She started to speak as she heard a phone ring.
It was Andrew on Joe's phone
She asked him to stay out of their lives and hung up on him.
She then turned to Rose and asked her how she was feeling. She said that she didn't want to recreate what happened when she was with Chris.
She didn't want to be the only one falling in love and the other nust playing with her emotions.
She wanted to move on and forget Andrew. She for ince jad started to think that Andrew was a nice person.
The way he looked at her and took care of her all the days in the hospital she had started to think of him more amd maybe liked him as well.
She thought that he wouldn't betray her. She thought that he was loyal but turned out that he wasn't loyal enough. She didn't want to bring the topic up amd needed rest.
Joe left her with her own thoughts.
Rose's phone beeped. It was a text from an unknown person.
Person : Hi, I am Peter. The hospital guy. Remember?
Rose: Yeah, I do. How did you get my phone number?
Peter : Oh in from the hospital records. I saw a file with your name on the top of it so I took the number..
I hope you are fine with it ....
Rose : Yeah its okay. I actually wanted to ask something to you..
Peter :Even I wanted to... Well. I wanted to meet you..
Rose : Oh! Even I was going to ask you something of that kind. When and where you decide cause my brains not really functioning.
Peter : OK I might be going a bit a too fast for you but how about a hp marathon at your or my place..?
Rose : Well.. umm.., I will get to back to you in a while I guess...
Peter : yeah it is okay. Take your time..
Rose :Yeah..
Did I. mention that this Peter looked a little or well a lot like Peter from to all the boys i've loved? Well I did.
Rose was confused on what to say so she asked Joe cause waht use of is your best friend if they don't help you in crisis like these..??
Joe said that she should go to his place or a cafe near his place and Rose obeyed.
She texted him.
Rose : How about a café near your place sned me the address I'll be there..
Peter : K. Sure.

__At Three Broomsticks the next day__

Peter was not there when she reached so she decided to wait.
She orded for a non-alcoholic butter beer for herself and waited for both - Peter and the butter beer.
Fuck she said as she spotted Andrew there. She tried to avoid him and then he approached her and said, "Hi, sorry for keeping you waiting."
She looked up and to her relief it was Peter. "Oh, it's okay. Have a seat." she said. He sat down asked if she had ordered anything. Rose said that she ordered a butter beer but non alcoholic one. Peter ordered for a mac n cheese and a butter beer 'alcoholic one'.
Then Rose asked why did he want to meet so he said just to catch up and hangout. Peter asked her what was it she wanted to talk about.
Rose hesitated for a while and finally spoke,"I need a date for homecoming and the guy I thought would ask me is dating my enmey."
"Oh is that guy who was with you in the hospital? " he said. "Yes he is that guy. How did you know?" she said.
"Well from the way he was taking your care that day. Its been long the food hasn't come." As he said that the food arrived. They ate, silence taking place of the conversation.
Suddenly Rose was caught staring at the food and Peter both at the same time. Peter blushed a bit and asked her why was she staring. She said," Nothing, it is nothing. You continue." Rose blushed seeing Peter blush.
They cleared the bill and left for Peter's house. She stopped by the door and said that she didn't want to disturb anyone. Peter said that he lived there with his friends. He didn't live with his parents after his step sister disgusted him by doing something she shouldn't have. He still met them occasionally but he didn't like his step father. They went in and suddenly Rose got a call from Joe that being a representative for head girl she had to decorate for homecoming before someone else does and leave her mark.
She quickly told it to Peter and they left for college as Peter insisted on being with her and helping her .
As. they reached there they saw that decorations had aldready arrived and they were mostly blue so they did a ocean theme and decorated everything pretty quick.
They added a selfie booth, a food counter and made arrangements to sit. The hall was completely decorated. Rose was happy and thought that she might win the election this time again for the third year.
Rose was leaving when she clashed with Peter and was about to fall but thanks to him that he saved her. Rose took the courage and gave him a hug which lasted longer than she thought it would. She felt warm and happy under his arms. He smelt nice. She now took a sigh of relief. She leant out of it and thanked Peter for helping her. Peter dropped her home and left. Before he went Rose asked him, "So are you coming or not?"
"Oh yes I am.", he said.
_______HOMECOMING ______
The night finally arrived. Peter called Rose when he reached her house.
She went with him in his car till university.
Rose was wearing a low high off-shoulder dress - Black and blue - making her look extremely beautiful. Her loose wavy hair were let loose which now touched her hips.
Peter looked equally handsome. He wore a black coat with white shirt.
The night was special for both of them. They entered hand in hand and saw faces turn towards them.
Rose spotted Andrew and clearly ignored him. She saw Joe come towards them with her boyfriend - Dean - they went ahead for the dance
