Dixie's pov
The next day I was the first to wake. I sat up, looked over everything. Things were calm. I then look over at Daryl an smile. He looks peaceful when he is sleeping. I then took off his poncho, got up, and gently placed it on him. I then got up, went down the stairs, and went outside. I stayed where the walkers couldn't see me. Can we stay safe here? Hell the Governor already attacked us once. It's been about a week since then. I then heard the door open. I turn around to see Carl.

"What's up kiddo?" I ask.

"Just got up. Saw you were out here." He says.

"Yeah. I'm just thinkin." I say.

"Wanna talk about it?" He asks.

"I will when I'm ready. It's hard for me to talk bout a lotta things." I say.

He nodded.

"I dont wanna sound mean but, I dont want your daddy to worry. You should go back inside. I'll be alright kiddo." I say.

"Yes ma'am." He says going back in.

He's a good kid.

Beth then walked out.

"Hey girly." I say.

"You okay?" She asks.

"I'm good, just woke up early is all. Wanted some air." I say.

"How about you come on in?" She says.

"Probably should." I say.

We then walked inside. Everyone else was just waking up. I went to check on Judith and she had a smile.

"Good mornin sweet baby." I say in such a baby voice.

I then picked her up.

"Hi there. What it is? Your so happy. Your a happy baby." I say again in a baby voice.

I then laugh.

"Someone likes you." I hear Rick say.

I then laugh.

"She's such a happy baby." I say walking to him.

She then reached for Rick.

"Someone loves her daddy." I say yet again in a baby voice.

I then looked to the ground laughing.

"Bad habit with babies." I say.

He then laughed.

"All good. She laughs an smiles more when she hears baby talk." Rick says.

I smile then went up to the perch. As I did, Daryl had just woken up.

"Mornin." I say.

"Mornin sunshine." He says sleepily.

Why are my cheeks heating up? I then went to my bag, and acted as if I were looking for something.
