The Voice of a Hero (Katsuki Bakugou xOC)

Chapter 3

"AGAIN!" Thomas growled.

Hayley laid on her back huffing, "Just 1 min!" Hayley gasped.

(((((NNNOOOOWWWW))))

"Yes sir!" Hayley stood and began her forms again.

"You need to keep your eyes forward and back straight!" Thomas spoke.

It has been a year since Hayley left her home and Joined her grandfather in China. He had taken to the monks that had trained him and strengthened his quirk. Hayley had been able to master her sonic scream and eye heat, but she still had a lot of work to do. She would be up before sun rise and would do her routine fitness training.

Through the year she had gotten to really know her grandfather and his temper which seemed to have brushed off onto her. Thomas would only be patient to a certain point until he drilled Hayley.

"Now, take out the targets using your sonic scream in a sniper form. To achieve this, you need to form your lips in the form you would before whistling." Thomas said before he demonstrated. Hayley nodded before trying it for herself. She hit each target perfectly, "How was that Grandfather?" Hayley smirked, "Th-that was, ahem I mean, good, now, 10x over." Thomas shrugged. Hayley rolled her eyes, "Stubborn old man." 

"Make that 100x over...."

Hayley stumbled into her room after a long days training. Face planting her bed and pillow, "f-finally... sleep..." Hayley's peaceful moment was interrupted by the buzzing of her phone. The phones light illuminated the room, "10 minutes then sleep..." Hayley grabbed the phone and opened the firs text message.

Izuku...

Hi Hayley-chan! I passed my theory test for history thanks to your help! Kachan was upset that I got higher than him and asked how I figured everything out... I confessed...I'm sorry, anyway. How has your training been going? I heard that one of the mountains snow had completely tumbled down due to a loud noise, I suspect it was you? 

Hayley...

Hey Izu, Congrats on passing. Yeah... I broke the mountain barrier apparently. My own ears started bleeding from my quirk so I guess I've reached my own limit with my ultrasonic scream. So he knows I've been using my phone.... Well, not like he ever messaged me since I left? Training is hell... Can't believe a year has passed already. Tomorrow we are going to start training on my hearing as I've got my scream and heat reading down. 

Izuku...

I dropped my phone, I'm sorry! You broke the mountain barrier? Is that why Cementos was in China? To fix it...

Yeah... anyway, I have to head to bed Izu, I'll talk to you again soon. Goodnight.

Hayley closed Izuku's profile before replying to some other messages from her family.

 Placing her phone on charge Hayley stared at the ceiling before sighing.... She missed home, but she knew that if she wanted to be a hero, she has to make sacrifices.
