4. Lunch and Skills

Merry Christmas! This is my first book. I just decided to try out the topic and see how it went. Tell me what you think. Happy Holidays!

I looked around and decided my best bet was to follow the mass of people heading towards what looked that a giant gymnasium. When I got to some wide double doors I pushed them open and saw even more of the strange people that were in the halls earlier.

The wall I came through was lined with doors, but at the back wall there was a big bar of food. On another wall there was a long trophy case, but the last wall was made up completely of glass. There were tables every where and people were all grouped up, and I didn't see a single adult anywhere.

I walked up to the bar and started walking down the line. There was a lot of weird stuff I couldn't even name, but there were a few normal things I was used to. I grabbed a salad and a bottle of water and I stepped away.

I looked around at the tables. I saw John setting at a table with other people that had wings and a few people that looked normal. I saw the Goth girls all setting together, but they didn't have any food with them. I wonder what their skills are? Then I saw Kaylee waving at me from across the room over by the windows. I waved back and walked over. I could feel the people staring at me and hear their whispers. I was getting nervous. As I got close I realized her table was full of people, but they all looked normal." Hey Kaylee." I sat down next to her and a girl with super long eyelashes and a purple streak in her hair.

" Hi Ally. This is Sara, Mark, Jesse, Caleb, Anthony, Alana, and Anne Marie."

I followed her finger as she pointed everyone out. Sara had the purple streak. Mark was blond and had gorgeous blue eyes. Jesse and Caleb looked a lot alike with auburn hair and pretty hazel eyes, but Anthony and Alana looked almost identical. They both had dark brown hair, golden eyes, and dark amber skin. Anne Marie was the most stunning. She had shiny black hair and silver eyes that shined with happiness. They all smiled and said hi. I replied with a curt hey and then a god walked toward us. He sat down straight across from me, and I thought I was going to pass out. He was beautiful. He had full gorgeous red lips, super white movie star teeth, and sparkly blue eyes that made you feel like you could drown in them. He flipped his black hair at me and I knew I was a goner.

" Hey, I'm Alex."

" I'm Ally." I saw Kaylee out of the corner of my eye and she was glaring at him.

" What? I'm just trying to be friendly Kaylee. There is no need to get your panties in wad."

I giggled with a blush, and he smiled at me again. Oh it was amazing.

" Stop tempting her. She doesn't need that from you Alex. Just leave her alone."

I looked a Kaylee incredulous. I enjoyed his attention. Why would she tell him to stop? He laughed and said sorry, but continued to look at me. I smiled again. Then Kaylee said something about skills and I couldn't help but break away from his gaze." Could you repeat that?"

" What? Oh, I have skills development with Mr. Henry, and I hate it. He is so annoying."

" How do you know that? My schedule didn't have a name of a teacher it just said skills development 6th and 7th block."

" Wow you have skills development twice? That is so weird, most people only have it once, but to answer your question, all of us have Mr. Henry because all shifters have him. He is the only teacher for our kind."
