Dessert Was Served

Leni was drafting some papers when her phone started ringing, she was quite startled. She frowned after seeing that it's from an unknown number, she just ignored it until it stopped. She went back again to what she's doing only to be interrupted with the telephone ringing. She sighed and picked it up. "Atty. Robredo speaking."

"Good morning po Atty. Len, this is Anya po."

"Oh hi! Good morning too, Anya!"

"Um Atty. pakisagot daw po ng phone nyo."

"Huh? Who—" Leni was about to ask Anya when her phone started to ring again. It was from the same unknown number who's calling her earlier.

"Sige po Atty.! Have a nice day po."

"Okay okay. Thanks Anya."

Call ended.

Leni pick up her phone this time after she ended her call with Anya. "Hello?"

"Hi mahal!"

"Who's this?"

"May iba pa bang tumatawag sayong mahal?!"

"Bong?"

"The one and only. THE Bongbong Marcos."

"Ikaw nga yan, yabang mo pa rin."

"Pero mahal mo pa rin."

"Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny."

"Sus! Kinikilig ka naman."

"How I wish! Why did you call?"

"Why aren't you picking up your phone?"

"I picked it up. That's why we're talking now."

"You picked it up after Anya told you so. Kung di ka pa tinawagan ni Anya na sagutin mo ang tawag ko, di mo naman sasagutin."

"Eh malay ko ba na ikaw pala tumatawag?! Unknown number eh. You should've texted me first."

No response from the other line.

"Hey! Are you mad?"

"No."

"You are. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too. I should've texted you first."

"Okay."

"Where are you?"

"I'm here at the office. Why?"

"Let's have lunch outside, baby."

"Now na? Wait lang, ayusin ko lang gamit ko."

"It's okay. Take your time. Puntahan na kita dyan."

"Ay wag na. Ako nalang pupunta dyan, may ibibigay akong documents."

"Ah okay, sige sige."

"Okay. See you, mahal ko."

Call ended.

Leni immediately arrange the papers scattered at her desk and turned off her pc. She also fixed herself her clothes and reapply her make up. She combed her hair using her fingers as she make her way to his office.

"Good morning Atty.!" Bongbong's staff beamed at her.

"Hi guys! Good morning!" Leni smiled, "Ganda yata ng mood nyo today ah?"

The staff chuckled at her, "Konti po kasi trabaho today Atty." Mark said.

"Oh that's good." Leni commented.
