Unsaid Feelings

Spending Christmas

Leni, Risa and Grace decided to go out to stroll around the mall, finding things to buy for themselves and for their kids. They were at the department store when Risa remembered something.

"You bought PS5 pala for Sandro?" Risa asked Leni. "Inggit na inggit tuloy si Kiko, kinukulit ako bumili din daw kami."

"Ay kaya pala si Brian nagkukwento din kay Neil nung isang gabi about sa PS5 na yan." Grace followed. "Naku! Sigurado magpapabili din si Brian."

"Tuwang-tuwa nga si Sandro eh. Buti nalang naisipan namin ni Bongbong bumili." Leni shared.

"Alam mo may something sainyo ni Bongets eh," Grace squinted her eyes. "Parang iba kinikilos nyo these past few days."

Leni chuckled. "Paano mo naman nasabi?"

"Oo nga parang iba nga kayo ni Bongets. Di kayo masyadong nag-aaway lately." Risa agreed. "Engaged na ba kayo?"

Leni laughed, "No."

"Buntis ka?" Grace asked.

Leni laughed harder, "Mas lalo namang hindi."

"Eh ano?" Risa and Grace asked.

Leni smiled, "Wala lang, we're just trying to be nice parents for Sandro. Ayaw naman namin mas maging favorite nya yung parents ni Anya diba."

"Okay?" Grace frowned. "I think I know where this is going. Neil and I have been there before."

"Alin?" Leni asked.

"You're jealous of the girlfriend's family." Grace confessed. "Natatakot kayo na baka mas maging close yung anak nyo dun sa parents ng girlfriend nya. Ganyan din kami ni Neil dati."

Leni thought about it for a while, "Para kasing mas close nya yung family ni Anya eh, alam nyo yun parang ang dami nyang experiences with them tapos gustong-gusto nya dun. What if ganon yung gusto nyang family pero di namin mabigay-bigay ni Bongbong just because everything about us is complicated."

Risa sighed, "Alam mo mare alam namin na mabuti kayong magulang ni Bong. Siguro madami kayong pagkukulang sa anak nyo because a lot has happened, pero ginagawa nyo naman lahat para mabigyan ng maayos na pamilya si Sandro."

"Another thing is, Sandro loves Anya meaning he has to love her family too." Grace pointed out. "Gusto nyang maging parte ng pamilya ni Anya kaya tayo as parents din, let's support nalang our son."

"I'm sure ganyan din si Anya sainyo. Gusto din ni Anya na magustuhan nyo sya ni Bong para kay Sandro." Risa followed.

Leni sighed. "Hindi lang siguro kami sanay ni Bong ng ganito. Pakiramdam namin mawawala saamin yung anak namin anytime."

"Hay naku! Ganyan na ganyan kami ni Neil before." Grace shared. "Pero nung nakilala namin yung parents ng girlfriend ni Brian, dun lang namin narealize ni Neil na okay naman pala. Wala naman mawawala saamin, actually madadgdagan pa nga because magiging anak mo na din yung girlfriend nya in the future."

"Correct." Risa affirmed.

Leni thought about it for a while, her friends really has a point. Maybe she and Bongbong are just overthinking about the changes in the family. "I'll talk to Bong about it."

Leni went home after spending time with Grace and Risa. She was decided that she's going to talk to Bongbong about being the "nicer parents" thing. Her eyes lit up when she saw his car already parked inside, she's gonna talk to him instantly.

She went inside their house only to witness Sandro unboxing a new phone. "Wow! Thank you, Dad!" Sandro beamed as he held the iPhone 13 pro max. He immediately hugged his dad.
