Abhishek's viewpoint :

"Ugh not like that!" Riya rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time.

"Abhay stop fooling around." Samikhya giggled while ruffling my hair.

"Dudes I seriously have no idea about decoration. You guys know that." I stated and Riya rolled her eyes at me.

"Come on guys." I heard a clapping sound and turned around to look at Ashwati drawing attention to herself.

She was standing at the threshold of the auditorium gate, covered up in sweat from top to bottom which had almost all the guys looking at her with their jaw dropped.

"Rose petals? Shubman are you crazy?" Riya questioned with a giggle.

"Dean wants us to decorate, so I'm decorating." Shubman shrugged his shoulders.

"The decoration should be over in twenty minutes." Ashwati announced and everyone groaned.

"What? Twenty minutes?" Samikhya questioned.

"Yes dude, Dean's gonna kill me otherwise." Ashwati replied coming closer towards us.

"We at least need an hour." Riya protested.

"I'm not even interested in this stupid decoration." Shubman rolled his eyes.

"I'm excited, the event is a surprise!" Riya exclaimed.

"Dude it's that scholarship thing." Samikhya rolled her eyes.

"That student exchange one?" I questioned and Samikhya nodded.

"Iske liye itna decoration karwane ki kya zaroorat?" I questioned sighing.

"College ka ek major event hai, toh formalities hongi hi." Ashwati answered.

"Ishan kahan hai by the way?" Shubman questioned Ashwati.

"He's with coach, talking about the upcoming match." Ashwati answered him.

"Baby these rose petals don't go with the theme." Samikhya told Shubman.

Ashwati went for the upcoming basketball tournament practice session after that and the rest of us decorated the auditorium for the event.

"Ugh I'm so tired." Shubman sighed laying his head on the table.

"And I'm so hungry." Ashwati replied munching on her food.

"Iske baad that boring orientation." Shubman rolled his eyes.

"I know right." Riya replied while we all were having lunch in the cafeteria.

"Dad's calling. Ugh I'm not ready for this." Samikhya sighed on hearing her ringtone and viewing the caller's name.

"Main washroom jaa raha." I told them and walked over.

As I was walking back to our table after using the washroom, I saw my cricket coach on his way.

"Abhishek, can you do me a favour?" He questioned after stopping me.

"Sure sir." I replied and he asked me to hand over the match schedule to the principal before the orientation starts.

I've just ten minutes before that. Ugh my lunch, I didn't even finish it!

Anyway, change of plans. I'll buy some snack, take the back seat and just eat and sleep all through the orientation.

I plugged in my earphones since no one was in the hallway and danced on my way.

Oh ladki aankh maarey
Aankh maarey
Oh ladki aankh maarey

I danced to the tunes while singing in between as well.

It was going all well until I felt someone bumping into me.

"Shit I'm so sorry. Really." I heard a girl's voice while taking off my earphones.

"I'm sorry too." I replied while helping her pick up her files and papers that had fallen off.

"Thank you so much." She smiled as we got up and that's when I had an entire glance of her.

Damn. Her features are so beautiful. She's absolutely breathtaking.

"No problem gorgeous." I winked at her.

"Actually I was in a haste so didn't realise someone's passing by." She explained her situation.

"Where are you heading to by the way? I haven't seen you around before." I questioned her.

"The Dean's office. I'm new here." She replied.

"Oh got it. You're one of those scholarship ones right?" I asked.

"Yeah right." She answered.

"I'm Abhishek." I introduced myself while extending my hand towards her.

"Anushree." She smiled shaking my hand.

"Cool." I mumbled.

"Anyway, can you direct me the way over? I'm a little confused." She requested with a nervous smile on her face.

"Yeah sure." I told her and took her to the Dean's office with me.

I handed over the match schedule to him as directed by our cricket coach.

Soon after I came out, a rushing sound echoed around the halls. Everyone was on their way to the auditorium.

"Kahan tha tu?" Ishan asked as I was met by my squad around the entrance.

"Dean ke office." I replied and then explained them the schedule thing.

"Anyway ab chalo." Riya said dragging me inside.

"Bhai, main ek ladki se mila jo scholarship student hai. Bohat pretty hai yaar woh." I told Shubman.

"Tu random ladkiyon ke saath flirt karna kab band karega? Har ladki tujhe sundar lagne lagti hai." Shubman facepalmed himself on hearing me.

"Ugh." I groaned rolling my eyes.

After the students got seated properly, the dean arrived and started with his speech.

"..and as per the legacy of our institution, we all present here know, that every year, the toppers from each batch of every IIMT branch are transferred into its authentic Dehradun branch. Its an honour having these scholarship gems here." The dean spoke.

"I'm bored." Ishan groaned.

"Since they are amongst us in the gathering today, I'd take the honour to talk about our college and its rules and regulations." Dean added and a boring presentation about our college followed which only the new students were paying attention to.

"I expect our students to be friends with the newcomers and help them whenever needed." Dean spoke and then the orientation got over.

"Dude it was really boring." Riya yawned while we had to move out.

"Sacchi yaar." Samikhya groaned.

"Ab phirse lecture." Shubman facepalmed himself.

"Chal bunk karte hain." He added.

"Yaar abhi mat kar, pakde jaayenge." Ashwati warned him.

"Fine then I'm sleeping all through." Shubman replied as we walked over to our class.

We immediately grabbed our everyday back benches. Ishan, Riya and I were on the second last bench whereas Shubman, Samikhya and Ashwati were on the last one.

As he said, Shubman was mostly sleeping through the class and the rest of us weren't paying attention either.

The boring lecture went by and now we can finally leave. What a relief.
