a/n: welcome to another shigaraki fic bc i love him too much. this is also very similar to my last fic, but it is not a sequel or prequel, this is an entirely different fic.

this is heavily based off of disney's tangled!! i wanted to do a healing quirk where the reader can heal with her hands by singing the healing incantation. she was locked away by all for one to keep her safe. you are not adopted by all for one!!

basic key: (y/n) - your name / (f/n) - first name / (l/n) - last name / (h/c) - hair color / (e/c) - eye color

quirk: healing; by singing an incantation (yes the one from tangled) you can heal people with your hands. you have slightly increased healing on yourself, but not very much.

this takes place mainly after all for one is arrested so tread lightly as there may be spoilers.

(F/n) (L/n) - Age six

"The world is an evil place, (f/n). I'm keeping you here to protect you." The tall man towered over you. You felt like an ant in his presence. He patted your head and walked you to the small bed.

"Selfish people will want to use you for your powers." He said, tucking you into the bed. You weren't sure what that was supposed to mean. You were six years old.

But the small tower-like building that you'd been locked in had become your home. You didn't understand a lot of things.

"This is all for your safety." The man spoke again smiling as he turned the lights off.

"There is great evil outside this tower, it is best if you stay inside." Those words terrified you. So you never left.

(F/n) (L/n) - Age 20

You marked another day off the calendar. You'd just woken up, ate breakfast and finished a new painting. You had plenty of time to paint later, but starting a new painting was all you could think of. You had all the time in the world it seemed.

Quickly turning back to the large mural you'd begun, you didn't know where to start.

"Finish painting the trees?" You thought out loud. You nodded and jumped onto your bed which you had moved away from the wall so you could paint.

Your home was quite cozy, considering you'd never seen anything else. You'd never left your 'tower.' Glancing at the window, you set your paintbrush down and walked over to it, opening and looking down at the world below you.

Nothing but green grass, a river, and trees surrounded you. It was gorgeous. But you'd admit that you got tired of looking at it after a while. You wanted out. But the world was evil. It was full of people who would use you.

And you didn't want to be used.

Regaining the urge to paint, you hopped back on your bed and returned to painting the large mural on your wall.

It'd been a while since All For One had stopped by, usually when he did he brought you some new stuff, but it had to been every bit of three weeks now since you'd last seen him. This past couple of times, he'd been looking really bad, you hoped he was doing okay.

He didn't adopt you, and he didn't claim to be your father, he just took care of you. You wouldn't consider him your father either. More so caretaker, but now you were old enough to take care of yourself.

You just always assumed your parents were vile, using you for your powers. That's why you thanked All For One for saving you from them.

You got lost in your thoughts as you painted.
