Laying on the couch, Tomura's thoughts were clouded. He couldn't place a deadly finger on it, but he was confused. Trying to piece together a puzzle that revolved around you. Yet every time he came close to putting pieces together, a winning streak of connecting all the right pieces, he'd mess one up and only make a bigger mess.

And finally, when he'd completed it, save for one piece, it was gone, just barely out of his grasp until it disappeared entirely. As if the cracked mahogany coffee table had eaten the final puzzle piece just as he reached for it.

Staring at you from the couch where he sat, his ruby eyes peered at you. You were sitting at the dining table, playing on his handheld console that he'd leniently given to you for the sake of giving you something to do rather than bugging him.

But as he watched your smile appear and fade, the way you'd just barely stick out your tongue as your fingers tapped away at the buttons, probably defeating an enemy or a boss, his heart squeezed inside his chest.

Like it was aching to beat out of his chest, he had to calm himself down every time he looked at you for the sake of just wanting to know more.

Tomura had never been the one to do 'friends.' He wasn't a happy guy, nor did he have anything to be happy for. He had the league, which was what he considered work, and all the members were his associates or equals. He wouldn't consider them friends, and on a good day, he'd somewhat acknowledge them as family, which is what they really were when it boiled down to it.

The television screen flickered on as Kurogiri stood with the remote. A new broadcast had appeared and it quickly caught your attention as well as Tomura's.

"We are getting new reports on the scene of this fight. The apparent breakout of The Bargainer has begun to take its toll. Heroes are on the scene trying to apprehend her, we'll keep you covered as information rolls in." The man reporting on the television spoke while footage from the fight was played.

"Why are you showing me this?" Shigaraki hissed, confused about why this broadcast was important.

"She broke out of Tartarus." Kurogiri informed. Shigaraki's eyes widened.

"How the fuck-"

"I don't know all of the details, but it's clear she's after something." Kurogiri spoke briefly. You were drawn to the screen, eventually walking over to watch as the woman was shown on screen.

With long (h/c) hair and a dark red outfit, she looked oddly familiar. Thinking back to where you could've possibly seen her face before, you could only stand frozen in both shock and terror as you replayed visions in your head.

Visions of the woman holding you in her arms with a grin on her lips, shushing you as you cried.

"There there my child, everything's alright. Mother's got you."

"Mother." You mouthed, your words barely audible as you toppled over, falling onto the rough floor. Shigaraki and Kurogiri quickly rushed over to you, Kurogiri giving Tomura a comical glance at how affectionate he was being, let alone how worried he seemed.

"Are you alright?" Kurogiri asked, lifting your head off of the cold floor. You were dazed as you regained stable vision, trying to stop the room from spinning.

"I'm fine." You mumbled, pushing yourself up, standing back up.

"You shouldn't rush standing, are you feeling light-headed?" Kurogiri was by your side at an instant, as well as Tomura. You moved past them as you headed toward the front door, your body moving without your thoughts letting you process what was actually happening.
