~ Areum's POV ~

I lied awake in bed not being able to get a wink of sleep. The only thing that was going through my mind was the kiss I had shared earlier with Jimin, and more importantly how I had kissed him back. It had been so long since I had kissed someone moreover had a boyfriend that I had almost forgotten what it felt like.

My mother had always tried pushing me to date, she said that she hated how lonely I was and that she wanted me to find someone and settle down with them. However, my father didn't agree with her and neither did I. I was twenty-two and I was making my way up the social ladder and I didn't have time for dating and boys.

I was putting my career as a professional dancer first. I had already collaborated with one of the best dancers in our Kingdom, Lee Taemin, and it really helped in boosting my career and getting me more opportunities to show off my dancing. My mother supported my decision to focus on my career but I could tell she was worried that I would keep on putting my career first and then when I would think about dating and marriage it would be too late.

I sighed loudly and tossed and turned a few more times, before getting out of bed. Hyuna was still asleep and Eunha's bed was empty. When Hyuna had punched Eunha, she wasted no time in packing and moved into another room. I was upset that she was gone but I knew it was for the best. Eunha despised me and it was better if I just stayed out of her way.

I looked at my phone and saw that I had a text from Jin. I unlocked my phone and read his message.

Today is the day for sponsors to meet with their respective contestants to talk strategy for the next round, so meet me at the front of the castle at 8:30.

I looked at the time and gasped it was 8:20. I grabbed the first outfit I saw and threw it on and rushed out the door making sure to slam it loud enough for Hyuna to wake up so she could get ready as well. As I reached the front gate I saw Jin leaning against the door waiting for me. Surprisingly, he wasn't wearing one of his bright and expensive suits like usual instead he was wearing a pair of black ripped jeans and of course a baby pink t-shirt.

I quickly ran my hand through my hair trying to get it to look a bit more presentable as I neared Jin and gave him a hug.

"I missed you sunshine! I feel like we haven't talked in an eternity," he exclaimed as he ruffled my hair

"I missed you too Jinnie! This competition is very time consuming otherwise I would have come to visit you more often."

Jin smiled warmly at the nickname I had given him. I had become quite close to Jin over my time at the castle, back at home I was the oldest sibling so I always made sure to watch over Jungkook and here at the castle Jin was like an older sibling to me. I wasn't accustomed to what it felt like to have an older sibling but as Jin and I got closer the feeling felt really nice.

~ Time Skip ~

"So before we start talking strategy for the upcoming round, how was the one on one date with Jimin?"

Jin and I were sitting in a tiny coffee shop that was nowhere near the castle, which I was thankful for. The castle I admit was nice but it was a bit suffocating to be there all the time so a break was very much needed.

I bit my lip slightly and smiled at Jin before telling him everything that had happened. How we had gone shopping, and how he wanted to spend so much money on me and even though I refused almost everything it still made me special. I also told him how I ended up opening up to Jimin about my past and how Jimin seemed to change around me acting more like a gentleman than an ass.

Seokjin laughed as I called Jimin an arrogant prick and then his smile turned into a smirk "What about that kiss you two shared yesterday?"

I gasped "How did you know?"

He smiled while sipping his coffee "Sunshine I have eyes everywhere. Don't forget that this whole competition is being watched by many cameras."

My cheeks flushed a dark shade of red, I can't believe the kiss I shared with Jimin got televised throughout the entire kingdom. Then my eyes grew wider, my parents saw that!!! My head fell onto the table and I let out a string of incoherent noises, I can't believe my parents saw me kissing Jimin.

I felt a tap on my head and I slowly looked up to see Jin snickering, I narrowed my eyes and crossed my arms, I probably looked like a five-year-old.

"As entertaining as this is, we should prepare you for the next round so you can bag first place once again."

I reluctantly nodded my head as Jin started quizzing me on major topics that I would need to know if I wanted to succeed in the upcoming round such as our relationship with the neighboring kingdoms, poverty, health issues, history of our kingdom, and more. Jin seemed to be very impressed by the knowledge I already possessed about the various major topics. He also gave me a few tips such as if I didn't know the answer to one question I should steer the conversation to a topic that I did know about.

I felt confident about this round, which was a feeling I rarely felt. Jin asked a few more questions which I answered with ease which made him grin once again.

"If you keep this up, you'll definitely win this round too! But for now, I think this is enough preparation so we should head back to the castle."

I nodded my head and followed Jin out of the coffee shop but I stopped when I heard the familiar sound of my phone ringing. I pulled it out and without looking at who had called me, I picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

I couldn't hear anything at first but as I listened closely I heard a small giggle which then grew into a loud screech which I immediately realized to be Jungkook. But before I could say hi to him the phone was snatched and all I heard was my mother's voice yelling

"You kissed Park Jimin!!??!??!??!??"

I'm dead.
