Surprisingly, Sleep had touched my soul after a long time, not a restless sleep like I'd been having for as long as I could remember, instead it was a comforting sleep, one that you never want to wake up from. I rolled out of bed and stretched my aching limbs.

During breakfast we all sat around the table watching news. The hot topic was still the death of my parents and me, but this time it was different, this time there were people who had taken the recording seriously and were raising questions.

After I'd finished my breakfast I went to see Travis, he was still working hard on breaking into Gerald's computer.

"How far have you got with it?" I asked, as I walked up to him to try make sense of what he was doing.

"Well this is the last hurdle," he breathed, "I've never come across something this sophisticated but this is it."

Intrigued by the complexity he carried on typing away. Travis still spoke to me as if nothing had happened, he had said he didn't like holding grudges because life was too short to be making enemies.

"Sheila still not talking to you?" He asked.

"No," I sighed.

"Don't worry she'll be back to normal soon," he reassured.

"Yeah..." I replied, "I mean she has every right to be mad at me I would be too."

"YESS!" Travis shouted making me jump. "WE'RE IN!"

Within seconds I joined him in front of the computer screen, he'd hacked into the computer. Andrew and Mia, who had heard Travis' voice, ran into the room.

"What's happened?" Mia asked, concerned.

"Travis has gained access to Gerald's laptop." I exclaimed.

Mia took the laptop from Travis and started rummaging through it. Then, all of her sudden her jaw dropped; her eyes fixated on the screen. The three of us stared at her with a questioning glance. She searched through it a bit more and then froze again, her eyes still glued to the screen, the laptop about to fall from her lap but Travis caught it before it did.

"What is it?" Andrew asked.

"Gerald," she started. "Gerald... he's part of the Pentagon."

Confusion grew on our faces. The Pentagon?

"They wanted us to find this," she added. "They have everything planned out it's all written here."

She pushed the laptop screen in front of us. A mind map had been drawn out outlining the different events that had happened from the killing of my parents, to us going to Thorns and Roses, every little detail jotted down, including finding Celia and finding the laptop. The last thing on the list had Alex's name imprinted on it, just his name, nothing else written before or after it.

"So, we were supposed to find this?" I gaped in shock.

"I used to think it was a myth," Mia remarked, "the Pentagon. We've had it wrong all this time."

"What's the Pentagon?" I asked slowly.

"The Pentagon is bigger than the CIA it's like a governing body of the CIA. They have more power than the government itself. Every decision made has to go through them whether it's political or ecological. They don't just have authority in the US, they have contacts all around the world." She explained.

"Why name yourself after a five-sided shape?" Travis scoffed.

"The five has a relevance," Mia continued. "It represents the five families that make up the Pentagon."

"And Gerald is part of it?" I asked.

"No," she answered. "Not Gerald, but the Starks are. Gerald's merely a prop someone doing their dirty work for them. He's part of the CIA, so, he's like their puppet he has to do everything they say."

"Starks? As in Damon's family?" I asked in shock.

"Yes," she replied. "That explains why Gerald would've gone to the Stark Law Firm, he probably had some errands to run."

"Do you think Damon.." I trailed off.

"No," she quickly added, "if he was I would've known something about it. But we do need to find him, he could help us out a lot."

"He was at Gerald's house the day you found me and then he wasn't there the next minute." I thought allowed.

"Let's not jump to conclusions before we know anything," Mia gulped, "we know how that turned out last time."
