Alice tried to move, but she was strapped to a hospital bed.
"Don't move Alice. You hit your head pretty hard on those iron bars. You're gonna need to stay in bed for a while," a nurse told her.
"What happened?" Alice asked.
"The people back at the asylum said you were probably trying to escape. You tried to jump through a window and hit your head on the iron bars. You were passed out for a very long time. An ambulance was called to bring you here and we took X-rays of your brain," she explained. She had a nervous look on her face. "We knew your brain was abnormal since you were in the asylum, but this is unlike anything any of us has ever seen." She paused for a moment and looked directly into her eyes. "Alice, you've gone completely mad."
