MARIA'S P.O.V
The first class for the day was maths. The room was full of students talking to each other. It wasn't that big, but it was big for me. I didn't know anyone in there and god knows how hard it's for me to hang out with new people.
I never was that kind of girl that made a lot of friends easily. The reason is that I don't want to hurt them. I know it sounds classic but I might end up into the dark road and I mean it. It's not just some metaphor. Just like I said previously, I might be in the dark side when I'll turn 16. That curse still exists, it's not gone and trust me it's no joke.
I don't know why, but I thought that I should scan the crowd for some welcoming faces, but nope. There was no sign of that kind of face. It's true that their eyes were on me, but they were just because they were curious about me, or scared. In my mind ran the idea that when if I turn dark I'll give them a real reason why to be scared from me.
While scanning the crowd I saw this boy. He was kind of cute, but that wasn't the reason why I kept looking at him. I wasn't here for romances, they wouldn't last anyway. Nothing ever lasts for me.
I stared at him because I had that strange feeling when I first saw him when I entered the class. I really don't know what that was, but I couldn't stop it. Call me crazy if you want to, I really don't care.
He wasn't even looking at me. Great. That's just what I needed. I don't know if that was a good thing or not, but I guess that I would find that out soon.
For the moment I had to concentrate on maths. That was the most important thing right now. At least that's what I was trying to tell myself.
