"How are you handling it?" My eyes shifted to Wave and shook my head.

"I have to find a lead," I answered.

"May nakuha ka na ba kahit papaano?" Caspian asked, sitting in front of the couch while sipping on his wine.

"I met a woman," I said and their gaze shifted immediately at me.

"Kakamatay lang fiancèe mo at may babae ka na?" Lucian exclaimed.

"Fuck you," I cursed. "Wala akong babae, and Akisha isn't my fiancèe, I've never agreed to my mother." I answered them.

"Sa tingin mo? Sinong may gawa nito sa kanya?"

I shrugged, staring blankly at the wineglass.

"Hindi kaya ang mga Tan?" Warrion spoke and I looked at him.

"How can you say that?" I asked.

"I didn't mean to accuse anyone, I'll just tell you my guess. Alice Tan is obsessed with you, Vioxx. Noon pa, remember the party years ago? That woman is something else, noong ina-nnounce na ipakasal ka kay Akisha ay nagwala iyon."

I sighed and nodded, remembering what happened that night in the party.

"That makes sense," Lucian commented then spoke again. "Pero hindi rin, ganyan ka ba ka-gwapo para magpatayan sila para sa'yo?"

I glared at Lucian, nagtawanan ang mga pinsan kong ugok at umiling lang ako.

"Fuck you, Castanier. Yes, I am fucking handsome but that's too much. I don't think someone could do that out of envy and jealousy." I answered, my forehead creasing.

"Too much but not impossible, Vioxx." Cas said. "Don't forget what those people, Cheska, did to my Reev. It's possible."

"I'll add her to my list," I said then glanced at Warrion. "Could you help me check CCTVs around the area?"

"Sure." He nodded. "What else can I help? How about that witness?"

"I'll take care of the witness." I said. "Babalitaan ko kayo kung anong sasabihin n'ya, get me someone to check on her too. Someone from your team for her safety."

"I got one in mind." Warrion said. "You know Lando? He's a retired army, one from my team. He works undercover."

"Yes, that would do." I nodded. "I need protection for that woman, she has family. I can't risk."

"Alright, name?"

"Serafine Veronica Mendez." I answered.

"Pretty name, huh? Maganda?" The noisy Caspian asked and I raised my brows at him.

"That's my business, Alcantara."

He laughed, raising his hand as if surrendering.

"I was just asking! Bakit apektado ka? Maganda, ano?"
