Chapter 9: Nothing like meeting your mate's dad in captivity...

Joe's POV

Do you ever get that feeling when you're strong but you finally hit the breaking point? It feels like I could hit it at any moment but I'm me, Joe Taylor, I certainly won't be feeling that soon.

Anyway, I've been in a cell for about a day now. Who the hell has cells in their house? I guess this creep does. He was a creepy creep, if that makes sense.

He has touched me when I certainly don't want him to, and has tried to kiss me. Yes, I know what he's trying to do, but I have a hard punch, a very hard punch. I earned a few slaps of kicks, but I ignored the pain. Let's see, the last one was about 30 minutes ago, so right now I laid on the very hard bed, stating up at the ceiling. This is actually more boring then it sounds. Truthfully, I'm surprised Mr. Alpha hasn't found me yet because, you know, he's the big, bad, almighty alpha. I'm pretty sure right now he was probably breaking something out of anger. If not, then probably killing someone. Wow, he's really predictable, so this sucks. I have a predictable mate, nothing interesting will happen with my life after this. What am I saying? I hate him, remember! This is harder than it sounds, fighting with yourself. You start to wonder if you are going insane. Crap, I'm going insane! No, this isn't how I wanted my life to be! FML!

Gage's POV

'Gage, you should go back and rest, you haven't slept since she's been kidnapped!' Devon told me through our mind link.

'No!' I roared at him, making his wolf flinch next to me. I knew he was only trying to help me, but I couldn't rest until we get Joe back. Who knew what they were doing to her, and that only angered me more. We had been searching for 24 hours, and we still hadn't even found their scent yet! I think it's time to wonder out of our territory, which also includes the human territory.

'Split up into two groups, Kevin lead one group to human territory, and Mark lead the other to out of our territory. Devon, come with me.' I instructed them through the mind link. The group split up and Devon followed me as I turned toward the edge of the woods.

'Where are we going?' Devon asked.

'To tell Joe's mom and brother.' I said. I still haven't told them yet, so they must be worried sick about her.

'Her brother's gonna kill you.' He pointed out.

'I know.' I sighed, but I deserved it, it was my fault Joe was taken in the first place. I don't care what anyone else says, it's my fault! If only I wasn't her stupid mate! If only I didn't bring her to my place! If only I didn't leave the room! The guy who has her took her because of me!

"Gage, are you going to change?" Devon questioned, now standing in human form fully dressed right in front of me. I growled at him, went behind a tree, shifted, and quickly put some clothes on. I lead the way out of the woods to the front of Joe's house. I just stood there, not wanting to face her mom and brother. I guess Devon got tired so he decided to knock on the door against my protests.

"Hello?" Joe's mom answered the door. Her cheeks were stained with tears and she looked almost as tired as me.

"I uh, have to talk to you and Danny." I told her, nervously scratching the back of my neck.

"Oh, come in." She moved out of the way to let us in. We walked past her and sat down on the couch, while she sat down on the chair.

"What's going on here?" Danny came in.

"Sit." I nodded towards an open chair. He sat down and gave me a weird look.

"So, why are you here?" Joe's mom asked. I looked down at my feet and shifted them uncomfortably. Devon gave me a hard nudge and I glared at him.

"It's um, about Joe. Yesterday I brought her to my house since she fell asleep. I had to answer a phone call and in that time she was kidnapped. I would have come to you sooner, but I was bush searching..." I explained, my Alpha authority kicking in. A low growl broke through the silence and I was suddenly tackled. My automatic reflex was to defend myself so I quickly pushed the person off of me. I didn't have to look at them to see it was Danny who tackled me. I don't blame him, if I could tackle myself, I so would.

"You did this!" He yelled, trying to throw a punch at me. I dodged it and held him in a headlock, preventing him from getting himself hurt.

"I know I did, you don't think I know that?!?" I shouted, letting go of him. We both stood up and he shot daggers at me with his glare.

"Danny! It's not his fault! He wasn't the one who kidnapped her!" His mom told him. He just huffed and sat back down, staring at the floor. I sat back down next to Devon, waiting for any questions.

"Do you know who kidnapped her?" Joe's mom asked.

"Not yet." I replied. If only I did, then I could hunt him down and kill him.

Joe's POV

I screamed, pain piercing my head as it was banged against the wall. I don't scream much, but this blood hurt. Hehe, bloody.......

"I told you to listen to me!" Creepy creeper yelled at me. Yup, that's my nickname for him now.

"Never." I hissed in pain. My head was bashed against the wall again and I could see black spots coming into my vision. I could feel my body going limo and my eye lids became heavy.

"Well lets see about that." He whispered in my ear and let go of me. He walked out of the room as I dropped to the ground, darkness consuming me.

********************

I could hear low voices coming from the hallway as I slowly opened my eyes. My head was pounding and dry sticky stuff covered me. I closed my eyes again as light poured into the room when the door opened.

"You're not suppose to kill the darn thing!" An angry voice said.

"It's not like you have any say in this, you are being held captive too." Someone pointed out, that someone being creepy creeper.

"True, but you're my brother, and that's my son's mate!" The person complained. Wait, son? Crap! The person talking was Gage's dad! Ponder, ponder, ponder! Hehe, ponder! Oh, so Gage's uncle kidnapped Gage's dad... That's, um, weird... Ow, all this pondering is making my head hurt!

"See you later, brother." Creepy creeper growled, slamming the door shut. I opened my eyes, only to see a man standing in front of me. He crouched down next to me and carefully examined my head.

"You've lost a lot of blood." He commented.

"No shoot Sherlock." I groaned as I tried to move. He gently picked me up and laid me down in the hard bed. Ow...

"So you're my son's mate." He said after a while.

"Sadly." I sighed.

"He's not that, bad." He sounded as if he didn't believe himself.

"No, he's worse." I muttered, but he still heard me anyway.

"You're right." He whispered. I chuckled, this was awkward, so why not chuckle?

"You and Gage fit well together, both stubborn." He told me.

"We don't go together at all." I closed my eyes. He didn't reply back, but I already knew he would probably agree. We sat in quiet as we were lost in our own thoughts. Though the only thought I had was, Gage, get your butt here already.
