Can you hear the faintest drone
Emoting embryonic tones
The ancient sound by which time splits
All of the species in space emitCan you hear the reverberations
The nameless noise that knows no nations
Quiet down, ear to the ground
The sound that had us boundYou say you're listening
But you don't hear this glistening
You only hear the tires squealing loud
The chatter of the boisterous crowd
The chirping of some birds
That's all you heardDon't you feel the traceless tremors of the earth
The faceless cries of a billion babies at their birth
The music that makes us move even when we're muted
The pleading prayers of the pained and pollutedCan anybody hear?
Is anyone listening?
