I feel the lure of luscious luxury
And life of lazy liberty
Flamboyant fancy furnishings
But I don't need what whims wealth brings
I must remind myself of the small thingsThe way that sand squishes under my heel
And simple loose sleeves on my arms feel
And hair undone and blowing wild
And the smile of a cherub child
And the triumph in the extra mileTwo sides that fight and clash
Against each other smite and smash
Dichotomy of different pleasantries
Royalty and hippie peasantry
Minimalist monk or mollycoddled monarchy
Earthly pleasures how they vary!
