Submerged in shining sugar water
Flowing, floating, falling
Down deeper than deep
Where the angels sleep
Swashed in the sepulcher of the sea
Sinking slowly in silver sheets
Of water
Wishing
Waiting
Weightless
Breathing in the bubbles
Marine meringue
Rockabye baby, cradled in the currents
And the crests of waves
Traverse the trench
Immersed, immense
Undine, undone
