Thyrsus of Dionysus

Chapter 3

The girl in private school uniform was sitting alone at the park. She skipped her last lesson to go to her favourite place. Nobody was there, it was middle of the day, with chilly wind and not so good weather altogether. She knew something was coming and that thing would be vision. Now, she wasn't so thrilled about getting a vision at school, so she skipped as usual. She was sitting on a bench at that lonely park, hiding under trees and waiting. About 20 minutes have pasted when her eyes turned acidic green and familiar smoke surrounded her sitting figure. She saw two boys running in the forest, both from different directions, unaware of each other presence. Then girl noticed something that might only bring trouble.

Somewhere deep in the woods was group of Maenads. About a dozen, maybe a little more. Maenads were Dionysus' nymphs, very dangerous, might easily rip a demigod to shreds, especially an untrained demigod. Boys were still running, but didn't realize that whole forest become quiet because of Maenads, that sensed the presence of not one, but two demigods. Boys looked awful. Their clothes were dirty and torn, they had a few scratches on their faces and cuts on their arms. It was clear as day, that they were attacked before and were running out of energy to keep going. Both boys slowed down and finally noticed that awful silence. Then they've heard a breaking branch, so they both freaked out and started walking very slowly, carefully and backwards, looking around them.

As you can imagine, they bumped into each other and jumped up in fear, looking at the new opponent. Only the oracle knew, that they weren't enemies and that they would need some help, because that group of Maenads was slowly surrounding them. After that the vision was over and the girl felt very uneasy. That was unusual, so she figured, that the vision was about present events. She grabbed her phone with light speed and dialed the same number as last time. "Chiron, somethings very wrong. You need to send someone to the forest. There is a group of wild Maenads and they've smelled them already. Yeah... Two boys... Looks like they have no idea what they got themselves into. They will need help... Like right now! Okay, call me later and update me. Bye."

Chiron only sighed. He knew that there was not much time left. Boys might be dead any minute now, but he also had a suspicion, that these boys were part of the powerful four that Rachel, that is the oracle predicted some time ago. It was nearly sunset now and the shadows were big and long in this light. He knew exactly who should go to the rescue, so he galloped, only to find the boy at the arena, mastering his sword technique with Jin.

"Yoongi! You're needed in the forest! There are two demigods and bunch of Maenads!" He didn't need to tell Yoongi twice, boy only smirked, picked up his sword and disappeared.
