(a/n: map of the Camp Half-blood above for context)
It was just beautiful. First thing the boys saw was big blue house standing next to strawberry fields. No scratch that. What they noticed first was the huge purple dragon, wrapped around that pine tree, sleeping. On the branch above its head was hanging something odd. It looked like some kind of wool, but why was it purely gold colour?
Yoongi noticed their stares towards the dragon and, for once thinking about being nice and considerate, felt the need to explain.
-You don't have to scream and/or run away. This is our dragon, won't hurt you. He protects the camp. He will attack only if you want to steal the golden fleece.
Seeing that didn't clear out much, Yoongi pointed his finger towards the gold thing hanging from the pine branch.
-This is the golden fleece, that is described in the myth of Jason and his Argonauts. It is so powerful that when it is on that tree it creates this magic barrier around the camp. No one besides demigods and some mythical creatures can pass through it. This is the safe place for both of you... for all of us.
Hoseok was a little touched by this and took a big inhale and I mean a yoga-like big inhale, getting this sweet strawberry scented air into his lungs. In the end he and Namjoon made it. A safe place, place that his mother told him to find. He looked to his side, only to notice that Namjoon was kinda starstruck.
-Wait you mean the Jason and the Argonauts? Are you kidding me? – when you're a pure nerd like Namjoon, then you can get easily starstruck, but with different kind of people. You should see him with his glasses (when his contacts make his eyes all red and itchy) obsessing over newest book he just got. (a/n: that's me when I don't have school or other stuff to do, so if I'm not a nerd then who is)
-Yeah yeah, all of that. And yes, before you ask, all of it is real. Every myth, every creature you've read or heard about before. Maybe even couple more, that mortals didn't hear or read about in eons.– it looked like Yoongi did that thing more than once; explaining every single thing so simple and so obvious for him for years.
But now it was a little different. Hoseok and Namjoon were just as oblivious as any other demigod arriving at the camp for the first time. Yoongi was quite intrigued, to be honest. No one in the history of the camp –to his knowledge- was older than 15 when they got there. And now? To boys in the same time and both over 16 on top of that?
-I just have to ask, how old are you? You will get hell of attention because you look my age and I've been here since I was 13. Nice 4 summers I've spend here. (a/n: means Yoongi is 17 in this story)
-I'm 17 so it appears I'm the same age as you. – that came from Hoseok, who was still standing and staring in awe at the view from the hill.
-I'm actually 18, so I'm older than you. Is that a bad thing? – Namjoon's curiosity was at its peak right now. Hoseok was also listening closely, because it resembled something his mother told him.
-I'm not the right person to answer that question. But Chiron will tell you everything you want to know. Or maybe all he considers appropriate. Either way you will be confused as fuck. For now, I'm here to show you guys around and deliver you both in one... well, in this case two pieces to the Big House.
-If you don't mind, we're a little tired actually. Maybe you could take us on the trip tomorrow? – Hoseok was in fact yawning while speaking so there is that.
-It's not a bad idea. I myself am someone who appreciate a good sleep, so focus for a second and look down the hill, so I could at least show you two around from up here.
