Another day another encounter

I wake up to my surprise it's before my alarm. Like 30minutes before. Oh well I'm up might as well get ready. I walk into my bathroom. My hair is still curly from yesterday so it wasn't bad. Since I have so much time I guess I could do my makeup. I normally don't wear it cause its not the most comfortable to wear. After putting my makeup on I walk back to my room. I dig through the my closet to find an outfit. Once I find it I get changed (outfit above). I don't dress overly girly but girly enough for people to know I'm a girl.
Once I was done I walked to the kitchen. Then I grabbed the yogurt out of the fridge to make breakfast. To my surprise jersey came in not long after.
"Where are you going?"
"To work I'll see you later"
"When you get off text me what kind of pizza you want and I'll order dinner" she said. I reach in my purse and pull out a 10 dollar bill for her to pay. Then I left work here I come.
As soon as I get there my manager comes up to me again.
"Hey so I got some good news for you"
"Oh yeah what is it"
"Your being promoted to manager I just got to thinking that I need someone to be here for me cause I can't be here all the time with the baby. Don't worry it comes with a raise."
"Thank you"
"Now I have to go thank you for this" she said then left. Wow she just did that. Well I get to the back where everyone is suiting up even Ryan.
"Well guess who is the new manager" I said with a smile everyone cheered.
"Alright now nothing changes our mission is simple keep people happy" I said dismissing them. I set my stuff down and got my mic on. When I turn around I see Ryan standing there waiting for me. Cause it's his first week.
"Val can you come here this lady wants to talk to my manager" I heard Luis call.
"I'm on the way" I turned to Ryan then headed out to the front.
"What seems to be the problem ma'am" I ask the lady.
"Well you see this man over here keeps telling me that the item I'm purchasing isn't on sale but I got it if the sale rack" she explained. I knew who she was she was a woman who does this all the time she grabs something from the shelf then says she got it from clearance.
"Listen here I know for a fact you couldn't have found it on the sale rack because the display is right over there and the store has just opened so there is no way this top made it all the way from the display to the clearance rack" I said as calmly as I could
"You look a bit young to be the manager your what 16 I want to talk to the actual manager" she said

"Ma'am I'm sorry I don't look my age I will inform you that I am 26 years old and have been the manager of the store for a whole hour. Now if you are going to purchase this garment i will let you but if not I'll return it to the display." I said this lady was livid but then she turned to Luis and held out her card. He mouthed a thank you to me before I walked off.
"Now Ryan what did you learn from what just happened?" I quizzed him
"That when a costumer is being not so nice to handle it calmly or ask you to come over and help"
"Yes, in the store we deal with people as calmly as we can now everyone will tell you that the costumer I always right and it's right to an extent cause like that lady I just felt with she frequently does this." I told him.
"Well I'll keep that in mind"
"Why are your hands covered in paint" I asked
"Well I'm an artist but that doesn't pay bills yet"
"Oh cool"
"How do you deal with people so calmly like that."
"Well it happens a lot so I always say another day another encounter" I explained then we went on about the day more people trying to get stuff of 'clearance'. The day seemed to go by quicker. Then yet again he stayed behind.
"Wait this morning you said you have only been manager starting today was that true or were you just saying that cause your the senior on staff." He asked
"I got promoted this morning. It doesn't surprise with boss having a new baby and her being the only manager. But I am the senior on staff which is probably why I got the promotion." I explained.
"Oh well congratulations oh I guess that what they were cheering about when you came in" he said
"Yeah didn't you hear"
"No I was trying to figure out the mic thing I kinda got it tangled" he admitted. I couldn't help but laugh.
"So you paint how is that going" I asked making conversation
"It doesn't pay the bills but it gives me a sense of freedom ya know like a party could be going on next door but when I paint all of that is not even there" he explained
"Yeah I actually can understand that"
"Really"
"Yeah um my mom left her old violin and I thought my self to play it. Even last night my roommate was dancing around me and I couldn't even see her"
"Well I think everyone should have something that makes us that happy" he said
"Okay now please walk out the door for me I need to set the alarm" he walked out. He walked me out to my car once again. This time there was an expensive Audi sitting next to me.
"Hey um do you maybe want to go get coffee tomorrow before work and talk for a bit. Not as a date just friends" he asked
"I would like that" I said. He walked over to the Audi sitting next to me
"Be here at 8" he said then drove off. I got i my car and drove home after texting Jersey.
