Valntyne's pov

When I got home I noticed the pizza guy was already there and he was talking to Jersey I went ahead and walked inside through the garage. I set my purse down hung up my keys and walked toward the kitchen. When I get there she is walking through with the pizza.
"So I saw you talking to the pizza guy is there something I don't know about" I asked quizzically
"No" she said all to quickly.
"Sure since this is the 6th time I believe that the pizza guy has been here in the past few days" I said
"Okay fine he is gorgeous" she said as she sat down on one of the bar stools and I jumped on the counter.
"I knew it" I said giving myself a mental fist bump
"Hey enough about me what about you how was working with Ryan" she said wiggling her eyebrows
"Work was fine I actually got promoted today and Ryan wants to grab coffee in the morning before work to get to know each other a bit more" I said mumbling that last part.
"I knew it he likes you" she said with too much excitement that she jumped off her stool and onto the floor. The chair hit the ground a few seconds behind her adding to my laughter.
"Alright enough about boys why don't we take this to the living room and turn on Sherlock on Netflix." She asked as she got off of the floor.
"Sure" I said as I grabbed my box and went to the couch. I sat down and reached over the arm of the chair to grab the remote. I turned it on starting the whole series over for her to catch up on.
We sat in silence, watching the tv and eating pizza then jersey broke the silence
"I need a job but I can't find a good one here"
"Well they are hiring at the local doctors office" I told her since she was a licensed nurse practitioner now.
"I'll have to check that out"
"Well im off to bed I have to be up a bit earlier than normal" I said as I walked to the kitchen to put leftover pizza in the fridge.
"Yeah so you could go meet Ryan" she said like a little kid teasing their sibling.
"Well I'll see you in the morning" I told her and went off to my room. I decided to lay out my outfit for tomorrow. After that was done I crawled into bed and went to sleep.

The next morning

I groaned at my alarm but I knew I needed to get up and get ready. I walked into the bathroom. I hopped in the shower then dried my hair so I could curl it. After curling it I decided to only do chapstick today I didn't feel the need for makeup. I walk back into my room and get dressed (outfit above). I looked pretty darn cute. I noticed it was 7:30. I might as well leave so I'm not late. I walk through the living room and see jersey passed out on the couch she must have fallen asleep during her binge watching. I smiled. The I picked up my purse and my keys and headed out the garage door. While driving to work I thought about my past with my mom and dad then my aunt. I let a tear roll down my face as I came across my least favorite memory. It was the day my dad left me. He had told me to pack up my stuff and that we would be going on an adventure. So I packed everything up that I could fit in my bag. When we reached my aunts house I had to pee so bad so I ran in her house to the bathroom. But when I came out of the bathroom I looked for my dad but didn't find him. My aunt said that we should get my stuff unpacked. So we did and we had fun that night before she left she told me what really happened to my dad. He had the early stages of alzheimers. He died from suicide a few months later. He was losing his mind so it didn't surprise me that he committed suicide. But it still hurt that he didn't want to be around me during that time. I always think about if he had stayed with her if he would have not committed suicide or if he would have done it in front of her. She realized that she was at the mall where the workers park. She put her car in park then wiped her tears from her face. Then there was a car driving about a million miles an hour come through the parking lot. Turns out it was Ryan. Of course he would drive like that. He parked next to me then turned his car off and got out.
"Good morning how are- wait why do you look like you were crying" he asked with concern all over his face
"Oh it's just some bad memories pop up it's fine" I lied to him. I really wasn't fine this was the same day my aunt told me about my dad. That a hard burden to carry
"I don't believe you. Talk to me tell me your troubles come on the therapist is in" he said
"Let's go get some coffee first then I'll talk" I told him. Then we walk inside right as we get in the coffee shop I'm met with the worst face in the world
"Ryan oh my gosh I haven't seen you in so long why haven't you returned my calls" Jessica asked.
"Well for starters I have been working and second how did you even get my phone number."
"I have my ways of getting what I want. Why are you with" she stopped looked me up and down "her" she said disgusted.
"Cause she is my coworker and friend" he said. It's probably because I'm not throwing myself at every male I see. It's a wonder she isn't pregnant yet.
"Well you shouldn't hang around the trash it starts to stink. And if you hang around that stench you to will smell like trash" she said
"Well id rather stink than have someone as fake as you around" he said she looked offended. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't 100% plastic at this point.
"Well fine then I'm out of here. I'll be in touch Ryan"
She said as she walked away. Can she not take a hint but then again she is pretty stupid.
"You can say that again" he said looking down at me
"Pardon me" I asked
"When you said can she not take a hint but then again she is pretty stupid. I was agreeing with you" he said
"I said that out loud"
"Yes you did and I haven't seen that side of you" he said we went up to the register and ordered he let me go first like a gentleman. Then we sat down am I really going to tell him about my family I haven't even told Jersey.
