Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

Jaemin

I'm a teenager. An abnormal one. I can't go to school daily like usual teenagers do.

Why?

I'm diagnosed with an illness that's almost impossible to heal. I have a kidney disease and I'm rarely able to come to school. I can count how many times in a year I left my house to go to school.

My mom and dad is working overseas. I'm staying in Seoul with my sister Na Haeun. My sister is a training doctor and she's the one who treats me daily and decide if I'm able to go to school or not.

Today she let me come to school to see my friends since she said I look a bit stronger today. I'm so happy that I could come to see everyone. Even the teachers are smiling even though there are some that I don't remember their names.

"Jaeminie is here today! Are you feeling great?" The teacher who just came in greets me.

"Yes I'm glad I can see everyone!" I smiled and nodded to her.

"Okay everyone I want you to meet someone..."

"This is your new classmate. Her name is Lee Jin Ah. She's a korean who grew up in Canada" a girl walked in and stood beside the teacher.

She's just... Small. Looks so delicate and soft as if she's a dandelion. I feel like I should protect her.

"Hi everyone my name is Jinah please take care of me" she got up from her bow and smiled.

"Ms. Lee you can sit beside Mr. Na there" she pointed at the seat beside me.

Jinah looked at her and asking if it's really here and the teacher nodded softly. She bowed and thanked the teacher before coming to the seat.

"Hi I'm Jinah" she waved to me.

"I'm Jaemin. Na Jaemin" I waved back to her.

"Wah... Your smile is so charming" she said it.

It must be what's inside her head and she said it out loud because right now she's getting shy of what she said.

"Cute..." i muttered and went back to focus on the class.

Jinah

After the class finished it's time for recess. I was keeping my books under the table and taking out my wallet. I looked beside me and saw Jaemin packing his bag. Then all of our classnates came and surrounded the table.

"Jaemin ah... Are you leaving?" Most of them asked the same thing.

"Yes... Sorry I can't stay for long" he smiled to them. I can feel sadness through his eyes.

"We'll visit you Jaemin ah"

"Take care uri cutie Jaeminie"

"Eat properly Jaeminie!"

"Tell your sister I love her Jaemin ah!"

There were a lot of voices. They all seems to love him a lot. Well there's someone who obviously love his sister but...

Okay I won't judge!

"Are you going home?" I asked him

"Yes... I'm sorry I can't keep you company" he pouted.

"No need to feel sorry" I said.

"Guys take care of our new classmate when I'm gone. Always keep her company okay!" He said.

Everyone was so supportive and agreed to him. It was loud when he's leaving. He looked at me before he took a step out of the class. He smiled and made a small wave to me. I stood up and waved to him.

"Why does he have to leave?" I asked our class monitor.

"Jaemin don't have a very good immunity. He needs to be treated a lot" he said.

Though I don't understand his situation much, I know he's sick. I asked the class monitor for his address and thanked him after.

I skipped the recess because I thought I could use a little picket money for a little treat for him.

If you can't keep me company....

I'll keep you company
