Between the Lines (Catradora Fanfiction)

Chapter Three: "Regret."

Catra's (POV)

The scent of flowers and cinnamon filled my nose as my eyes finally opened. My vision blurred, and my skin felt bare. I rub my eyes and my vision clears up. The room was bright with light shining into the room from the open balcony. Curtains blowing in the morning wind. In front of me was the bare back of a girl, her blonde hair down her back and long scars down it too. My eyes widen when she turned over, and I realized who it was. 

"Morning, Catra~" Adora smiled at me. I felt my eyes narrow at her, my ears flatten. Adora's smile fades as she sits up straight.

"Hey, you okay?" She reaches over to my face, but I pull back before she could touch me.

"I-I shouldn't be here." I turn my head to the balcony, and get up from the overly soft bed.

"Where are you going?"

"Back home!"

"With out your clothes?" I look down and blush when I realize I was still nude. I cover myself with my right arm, and go to grab my clothes from off the floor. 

"Why are you leaving so soon? Don't you at least want something to eat?" I look up at Adora as I pull my pants up.

"I shouldn't."

"It won't take that long."

"I'm not hungry." 

"Don't you at least want to shower?"

"I can do it when I get back." Adora pulls the bed sheets over her chest, and frowns.

"Okay really, what is your deal?" I narrow my eyes at her again after pulling my shirt over my head. I grunt a bit as I put my belt back on.

"I.." I pause, "shouldn't have done that.." 

"Done what?"

"What we did. It shouldn't have happened, Adora! What would people say if they found out?" Adora huffed.

"Like we were going to tell anybody!"

"It doesn't matter! It shouldn't have happened!"

"Why are you saying this now?"

"CAUSE YOU WERE MY FIRST!" Adora's eyes widen, her once open mouth closed for she was at a lost for words. At least it seemed like it. I don't know what goes on in her head. I felt my eyes start to water as I finish putting my clothes back on. I make my way over to the balcony, and take one last look at Adora.

"This. Never. Happened." With that finally word, I turn to leave the castle, but not without hearing a sniffle come from Adora. I sigh without turning around, and left.
