Chapter Five: "I'm What?"

Catra's (POV)

Days had passed since me and Adora's one-night stand, and I found myself in the middle of a training session. I sat in a pouncing position on the ceiling of the training room, watching the fellow cadets battle some of the simulation bots. It made my skin crawl seeing all the princess simulations at times. My eyes narrowed, a smirk formed on my lips as I leaped down from the ceiling and landed on top of one the bots. I sank my claws into the bot, pieces of metal flying into the air. My claws tear it open, it starts to spark and glitch. I smile as I go to do it again, but before I could my vision became blurry. My head felt like it was pounding. Before I could land another hit on the bot, I felt myself growing limp. Feeling top heavy, I slip from on top of the bot and landed on the ground. 

"Catra?" I heard someone say before a bunch of people started to form around me. My vision got even more blurry, so blurry I had to close my eyes. 

"Guys, step back! Give her a sec." I heard another person say before I finally passed out.

My eyes felt heavy, and my body felt weak, but with the strength I had left I opened my eyes. I was in the infirmary. A monitor with my vital signs was beeping on the left from me. Across the room, Entrapta sat with a clip board in her hands. And on my right was Scorpia asleep. I sit up straight and rub my head.

"Ugh, it feels like a jackhammer is in my head right now." Entrapta turned to me and smiled.

"Oh good! You're awake! Can't have you sleeping too much now, it would be bad for the little one." I raise a brow.

"What are you talking about? What little one?" Entrapta smiled bigger.

"Oh, so you don't know?"

"No...?"

"Catra, you're pregnant!" My eyes widen as my ears flattened.

"I'M WHAT?!" I screamed loudly. So loudly, I woke up Scorpia who was next to me.

"Wha! What happened!? Who do I need to fight!?" Scorpia scrambled to say.

"Nothing is wrong Scorpia, just telling Catra the good news." Entrapta laughed.

"Good news?" Scorpia yawned, "What good news?"

"Why, the news that she's gonna be a mother!" Scorpia's eyes widen as well.

"Huh?!" I turn to Scorpia.

"I know right?"

"But how did that happened?" Scorpia turned at me, her face white as a ghost. 

"I'm not totally sure..." It wasn't long before Entrapta joined in.

"Well, most people who end up being pregnant is due to sex. So, at some point in her life that was recent, Catra had sex with someone, and now she is carrying their baby!" My eyes widen.

"But how is that? It was another girl!" I blurted. Everyone in the room stared at me.

"Oh! It's still possible, Catra." Entrapta grinned.

"But like, how?" 

"Simple! Through the power of Etherian Evolution." I raise a brow.

"What?"

"Well you see Catra, we Etherians have evolved a way to be able to reproduce with any gender through sex. And we are able to do this because as Etherians evolved, more and more of us started to have same gender mates. So through evolution, we were able to evolve a way to be able to still have children even with people who have the same gender as themselves. Even if one of the chosen mates is not from Etheria. You see Catra, with two females, during sex one of the females will release a hormone that will play the role as a sperm, and impregnating their partner. Sometimes both females will do this, and both end up pregnant. Sometimes neither of them do. But in your case, your partner did release the hormone, and now you are pregnant. But since you're a cat, you might only be pregnant for a few months instead of nine." Entrapta explained. My head was spinning.

"So, whoever I slept with got me knocked up cause she released a special type of hormone?"

"That is correct! And because you are a cat, you'll only be pregnant for three months. Just in time for the holidays!" Scorpia spoke up next.

"So, who is the baby's other mother, Catra?" I gulp.

"A-Adora..." 

"WHAT?!" Entrapta held on to Scorpia trying to calm her down.

"Easy Scorpia. Don't stress out Catra awhile she pregnant, that's not good for the baby." Scorpia started to calm down.

"I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting that." I sigh.

"Yeah. You and me both." 

"Are you gonna tell, Adora?" I grit my teeth.

"No way! If she finds out about the kid, she'll try and take it away. I just have to keep it a secret for right now." Scorpia was about to open her mouth as if to say something when the Fright Zone lights started to flash red. Meaning it was time to go into battle. I got up from my spot, and quickly dashed out the Fright Zone to head into the battle. A part of me wanted to stay behind cause of the baby, but I planned on just seeing the damage and not so much fight. So, can't be that bad right?

There I stood on top of our largest bot, watching as Adora defeated a whole pack of the normal bots we sent out. I was tempted to let out biggest one loose, but I was distracted by Adora's beaming blue eyes as she and I locked eyes again. She glares at me before defeating the last of the bots. I turn away and hide behind the big bot. I felt my self start to sweat bullets as I hid.

"She can't find out. She can't find out. She can't find out." I kept telling myself as I rubbed my stomach. 

"She just can't.." I come out of hiding and pressed a button to make the bot turn off and fall to the ground. I sigh and start to run away from the battle ground in fear of Adora coming after me.

"She just can't..."
