"We can't just send her out to fight Morro, what will Arlette think about this?" Kai said holding onto her.

"What do I think about this?" Her voice filled the air.

"A-Arlette?" Jay called out towards the voice.

Cole looked around confused, "But..."

"Listen, I don't have much time. Let Scarlett help you, eventually she'll be out up against a foe that you all won't be able to beat."

Zane frowned as he looked over at Arlette, he was the only one who could see her.

"You are all I have, you are all the last hope I have in this world."

Arlette sighed softly as she sat on the couch crying softly.

Jay was surprised as he seen the crying woman he quickly hugged her.

Zane, Kai, and Cole had joined in, they felt her body tremble. She was scared and they were too.

"Arlette?" Lloyd's voice called out.

She looked up and waved gently towards him, her eyes looked away.

She couldn't bring herself to talk to him, she felt as if she failed him and he was upset and angry.

The others had moved out the way to let Lloyd get close to his wife.

"Arlette you're alright, I'm so glad."

She said nothing as she felt him kiss her tears away, he wasn't mad?

He should be, she thought. She left behind family, friends, and people who cared about her the most.

She felt so upset, Lloyd was an important puzzle piece in her life.

A piece she didn't want to lose, but instead he lost her.

"Hey, talk to me. Please talk to me, what's on your mind?"

"I'm fine, just happy to see you and everyone else is all."

He could feel her heart faintly beat, this was nice he thought.

A soft heartbeat, a soft woman who needed help and that's what he plans on doing.

"I love you Arlette."

"Love you too Lloyd."

She nuzzled him softly closing her eyes letting the tears fall, she was truly happy.

But in the end, she lost the battle that she knew she could have won.
