School had started and Scarlett had gotten out of bed slowly but surely.

She felt like this was worthless, something she didn't want to put with.

The bullying, the whispers, the constant remarks and comments.

The sexual assault, the harassment, the abuse all made her what she is now.

She shook those thoughts away and started to make her way to school with a hesitant sigh in her voice.

"Alright dad I'm off to school."

"Alright kid! Stay safe, Jay's gonna pick you up after school."

"If he comes home empty handed I'm either staying after school or I'm with my boyfriend."

"Alright, stay safe and have a good day."

She nodded and waved goodbye smiling gently, her father knew how to keep her head on tight.

"Scarlett?" Arlette called from beside Lloyd, "Have a good day."

"You too mom, I love you both." She called heading towards the bus stop.

—[Let us do a little time skip]—

"What a time to be alive," She muttered under her breath as she seen eyes staring, "Should've just offed myself when I had the chance."

She sighed as the tears form trying to get past the pushing and shoving, but couldn't bumping into someone without noticing.

"I-I'm—" She tried to apologize, but was cut off.

"Oh hey you must be Scarlett, I'm sorry for bumping  into you. People are just ignorant."

She blushed heavily as she got up looking up at the person, "Oh yeah."

"Let me introduce myself, I'm Avery the president of the newspaper club." She smiled softly.

"I think I like her, I-I have a new crush."

"Is. . . Is there?" She wanted to ask about the club.

"If you're asking about the club, there's a few spots open and someone as cute as you are more than welcome to sign up." Avery said smiling

Scarlett blushed heavily nodding, "Right thank you."

Avery nodded seeing Scarlett leave, "Yeah! I'll see ya."

As class started Scarlett had fallen asleep taking notes.

Today hasn't been the best for her, and her teachers could see it.

After class she would stay back and complain about how much she hates herself.

How she wanted to be with her mom, how people disliked her or want her dead.

"I CAN'T STAND THE SHIT I'M BEING PUT THROUGH!"

The tears were quite noticeable as they stained her cheeks.

"I lost my mom, and I'm afraid to talk to my dad about what I'm doing to myself."

Telling her teachers this was nice, maybe should do this when she gets home.

Maybe, just maybe she'll feel better.
