Chapter 2- New Beginnings

~Third Person POV~

(Y/N) just stood there, speechless. Her brain was still trying to respond to this sudden question. Everyone just looked at her curiously, like little children. It stayed awkwardly quiet for a bit and the tension seemed to rise again, but Wendy spoke up again.

"It's okay (Y/N)." Wendy placed a hand on her shoulder. "You don't have to make a decision right now... unless you don't want to join us." A hint of disappointment was detected in Wendy's voice, as if she knew (Y/N)'s answer already.

"No, Wendy, don't be sad." (Y/N) began " I do wanna join your guild. I was just so surprised that you had asked me right off the bat." After hearing that, the whole guild filled with a roar of cheers and happiness.

"Come on then, let's go get your guild mark from Mira!" Wendy shrieked.

~Your POV~

"Where would you like me to put your guild mark, and what color would you prefer it in?" Mira asked, with the stamp in hand.

"Um, I'll get it in (f/c) on my (b/p) please." I said, with just a hint of excitement gleaming in my eyes and a sense of eagerness in my voice. Admiring my mark, Lucy came over along with Erza to welcome me.

"I guess I'm one of you guys now." I said. "You all are so nice."

"Hey, it's what we do in a guild," Lucy began "we treat each other like a family." Erza just nodded and smiled. 'A family huh? I don't know what it feels like to be in a family. I could learn a lot from them.' I thought to myself. This is gonna be a new beginning for me. A new start in a new family.
