7:59 am
This is the worst day of my life. My alarm decided it didn't want to go off until 7:45 am so I had a a total of fifteen minutes to get ready and to school on time. Let's just say, I am the definition of a mess right now frantically trying to find my books for first period in my locker. When I finally find my psychology book and yank it out, a few of my other books and notebooks decide to come with it.
"Fuck!" I cursed brushing a piece of hair that fell out of my messy bun behind my ear as I bent down to retrieve everything.
Right when I bent down to bell rang signaling it was now 8 am and I was late.
"Need a hand?" A voice asked as a pair of black converse stepped into my line of vision.
I glanced up, books clutched in my hand as my eyes met with a pair of chocolate brown ones.
Calum Hood. Aka the schools bad boy and also the hottest boy I've ever laid my eyes on. I've had a few classes with him throughout the last couple of years and were partnered up for a few projects which I, of course, always had to do alone thanks to his "I don't give a fuck about school" attitude. Other than that, we rarely spoke. He was a bad boy and I was a good girl. We aren't supposed to mix.
"Not from you." I said with a shaky breath standing up and straightening out my plaid skirt hoping I didn't sound too nervous in front of him.
"Oh sassy." He replied taking a drag from his cigarette while still staring at me. "You know you're already late right?" He asked as I slammed my locker shut.
"Yeah don't remind me. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go." I said shoving past him bumping his shoulder in the process.
"What's your problem?" He asked yelling down the hallway.
"Right now, you!" I yelled back turning around to face him but still speed walking to class.
"Just thought for once in your life you'd want to stop being a goody two shoes." I heard him say just as I turned the corner.
"What?" I turned around with an aggravated look on my face. I was for sure going to get detention now since I was already more than five minutes late and he was just making it worse. He does not have the right to call me a goody two shoes. I am not a goody two shoes! Who does he think he is?!
Before I could stop myself I walked towards him with my hands in fists and spoke through gritted teeth "I am NOT a goody two shoes!"
He smirked as he pulled the cigarette from his lips and dropped it to the ground stomping on it. "Really?" He questioned stepping forward which resulted in me taking once step back and hitting the lockers.
"You always come to school, you get straight A's, I've never seen you in detention or parties, your skirt is below your knees and your hair is always up." He said as he ran his fingers slowly down my arm. "It's senior year. Live a little." He whispered. "Don't you want to know what it's like to be a little bit badass for once in your life?"
I hate to admit it but I everything he was saying was right. I was always at school, I never got anything below an A, I didn't even know where detention took place, don't even get me started on parties and yeah maybe I do dress a little like a nun sometimes.
After contemplating for a few moments and going back and forth between Calum's hopeful eyes and my shoes, I finally spoke.
"Okay. Let's ditch." I told him nervously. I don't know what the fuck has gotten into me this morning but I'd already get in trouble for being late, so why not just ditch and have fun? It's our senior year. He's right. I need to live a little.
