A/N: Hello guys, sorry for the sporadic uploads. My life has gotten pretty busy lately, and I'm trying my best to keep up with everything! Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

Students gathered in the auditorium the next day for the revealing of the next marching band show. I sat in the audience with Scarlett, Lacey, and Nathan. Jamie was on stage with the rest of the directors, talking and killing time until the presentation started.
Lacey excited cheered, "I can't wait to start working on this show!"
"Me either!" Scarlett agreed, "I bet it's going to be about a dark forest."
Nathan smirked, "No way, it's going to be about the takeover of technology!"
I smiled at their guesses, knowing they were way off. "You guys are going to like it," I smiled.
"How did you get early access?" Lacey asked.
"Mr. Taylor asked me to go to the staff meeting. He wants me to be more staff-like, I guess. I'm not really sure," I explained.
"That's cool that they trust you so much," Lacey said to me.
"Yeah, I mean I've known them for so long," I shrugged.
"I want to start taking lessons with Jamie. He's apparently a really good teacher," she said to us.
"Why don't you ask him?" Scarlett suggested.
"I don't think my parents can afford it," Lacey said, quietly.
"Well, I'm sure he can work something out. Let's go talk to him," I said to her.
"He's kind of intimidating," she said, shaking her head.
Nathan chuckled and said, "How?"
"I don't know. He's just so confident and I am clearly not." She explained, "I literally embarrass myself in front of so many people. I wouldn't want him to make fun of me."
"Lacey, I promise you, Jamie is not going to make fun of you," I assured her. "Come on, you're going to go talk to him." I stood up and gestured for her to follow me.
"Calista, I'm not sure. The presentation is going to be starting soon and it doesn't seem like it's a good time."
"We have plenty of time. Let's go," I said and pulled her up.
We exited the auditorium and walked down the hall to the stage door. We walked onto backstage and I said to her, "I'll go grab him."
I walked over to the band director's group and tapped Jamie on the shoulder. He turned around, confused and then smiled when he saw me, "Hey, what's up?"
"Lacey had a question for you real quick." I said gesturing towards her.
Jamie said, "Oh okay, sure." He followed me off the stage and into the hallway. He smiled at Lacey and asked, "What's going on, Lacey? What can I do for you?"
She smiled nervously and then said, "I was wondering if I would be able to take lessons from you."
"Oh yeah, I can put you on my schedule. What days work for you?" He asked her.
"Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually good,"she said to him.
"Awesome. I can email you with more information," he smiled.
I chimed in, "She was concerned her parents wouldn't be able to afford the lessons. I was wondering if you would be able to do them for less or free?" I smiled cheekily. "Please, for me?"
