The Big Bad Wolf

Chapter 22

We were in the middle of the ritual with the high priestess. The smell of the incense was very calming along with Hyunjin holding my hand. The high priestess was humming something and gently holding my stomach. It felt like ages until she finally spoke.

"There are four. All of them have great prophecy, more great than most Alphas. One will change the way the wolves lives, and it is through love. One will have the ability reach hearts in a way none other can. One will strive in their indifference, and it may be outcasted amongst it peers in the beginning but they will eventually follow them as a leader. Finally, one will obtain something that was once lost long ago, and it is when this is found that they will change the world."

She released her hands from my stomach and open her eyes slowly as if coming out of a trance. We thanked her for her services and she bowed her head and left. It's really hard to say which prophecy will belong to who, but if Hyunjin was able to figure his out I'm sure we will eventually too.

But 4 kids! Jesus Christ, we were just having our first litter and Hyunjin and I would already be outnumbered! It at leasts makes me feel a little bit better about the amount of weight I put on. Taebong assured me that I would be back in shape in no time after giving birth, but I really have my doubts.

I suddenly remembered that Hyunjin told me I could take off this damned collar after a month, and I immediately looked at him saying,

"Hey babe, you know...it's been a month now."

"I know, you want to take it off but you're going to have to wait a bit. I've got some documents to read and then we can go outside."

"Oh, come on! I just want this stupid thing off! I won't do anything!"

"You and I both know that's not true. The moment I take off that collar you're going to transform and want to run around."

Damn it! He knows me too well!

I crossed my arms and huffed like a petulant child. I was planning to keep up that act until I suddenly got an idea. I tried to conceal my evil smirk as best I could, but I'm not the best at hiding my intentions.

I snuck over onto Hyunjin's lap and straddled him. He stopped what he was doing for second and then spoke,

"Babe, it will really only take a second. Please just have a little more patience."

I had to laugh because of all people talking to me about patience it was the most ironic coming from him! After all, he was the one that was already trying to get me pregnant BEFORE we were even married!

"You know I can hear your thoughts right?"

'Of course I do', I thought as I placed a gentle kiss on his neck. I felt him stiffen up beneath me and his breathe hitched.

He put his hands on my hips and looked to me with an expression of faltering restraint, and I loved it.

"You can be so evil sometimes, ya know. You can't tease me like this when I haven't gotten to touched you for a month."

"Who said I was teasing?"

And just like that it was like a switch was flipped and his resolve was gone and out the window. He kissed me with so much passion a moan managed to slip past my lips.
