Being at the bar was always a distraction. The rush of attending the crowd, dealing with some drunk girl who got very flirty after a few drinks, sometimes she had to get tough on some smartie guy that tried to ask funny questions about her life and sexual preferences but for situations like that she had a baseball bat the manager left under the counter close the register if they got to funny Tsuki pulled the thing out and our funny guy would lower his confidence for about 90%  however, that night no matter how crowded it was the bartender couldn't spend more than a few minutes without wishing Elena would come in and lean on that counter. Despite her reluctance to admit she missed the girl more than she wanted to.

"I need something to drink."  Tsuki shook her head negatively.

"What's up? You're very off today." asked the register guy but Tsuki wasn't really talking to anyone.

"I'm just obsessing over nothing." her sight was beyond that bar, by the mountain she had visited a couples days back.

"You mean over a hot brown-haired girl?" he smirked at her while pouring someone's drink "What?" the guy felt Tsuki's anger on his neck "She is hard to miss, bro, not gonna lie."

After that evening they went back to the mall silent, there wasn't  much that could've been said. They had sex on an empty mountain under the sunset light,  they were actually afraid of saying something and regretting it because it was very easy to get carried away with words after such intense feelings. So instead of talking they finally exchanged numbers and Elena promised to text whenever she was free. Anxiety wasn't  a part of Tsuki's personality, not many things caused her to lose her focus but this suspense had just changed that.

"Yo fuckstard!" A small sarcastic face sat in front of her scratching carelessly her septum piercing "Gimme a soda and vodka."

"Have you no education?" Tsuki barked at the smaller girl.

"Who hurt you, child?"

"The hot stranger." answered the register guy since Tsuki was mute starring at Ivy like she was planning how to murder her painfully.

"Fuck off, Douglas!"

"That girl is like a forest spirit from a kid's book, D, we don't talk about her." and she shook her finger negatively with a sarcastic serious expression.

"Are you drunk?" Tsuki placed a tall cup with dark liquid on the counter.

"Not your business. I just have a question." Ivy held her index finger up that had a thick golden ring on it, while she took a good sip of the drink, "Have you hooked up with that girl?" and pointed at a female wearing shorts and a cropped top leaning on the wall close to the bathroom.

"I have no idea…" Between pouring two drinks down Tsuki squeezed her eyes to see beyond the people, "And so what?"

"She kept asking if I knew you."

"Well, if I do I don't give a shit…"

"Oh yeah! you're seeing that hot girl." Ivy stopped swallowing her drink to comment very loudly for Tsuki's annoyance.

"Maybe you should stop drinking…" Tsuki stated in a lower voice, reaching to take her friend's cup.

"Get off! Mind your own business."

"What happened, Ivy?" Since her hyperactive friend was never an aggressive person and neither much of a drinker, Tsuki knew something was very wrong.

Before Tsuki could insist, Ivy turned her back to make her way over to the girl with the cropped top. It didn't take too long for them to hook up, but after years Tsuki could sense whenever something was off. What they had couldn't be categorized simply as friendship, for two people to stay together for so many years even when they hurt each other badly was something else, maybe bigger than family since they didn't have any left.
