Prismarine POV (1st person)

Waking up was not pleasant. With a headache that made my head feel like the center of an earthquake, concentrating on doing anything was nearly impossible. When I'd finally mustered up the strength to open my eyes, I was met with blinding fluorescent lights. I immediately shut my eyes and tried to bring my arms up to cover them, but found that they were bound to whatever I was laying on. My ankles and waist were also tied up, rather tightly, I might add.
I attempted to open my eyes again, but only as slits so that the light wouldn't completely blind me. I tried to quietly roll to the side a bit, but the cords on my waist were very restricting. I did discover what was probably an IV in my arm, though.
"Did she move just now?" I heard the voice of the man who had captured me with his grey scarf fill the silence that had been presently occupying the room.
"I don't think so." What I thought was the voice of the nurse from earlier responded in a very subtle 'I'm-lying-to-you' voice. "You're probably seeing things from the sleep deprivation you constantly have." I silently thanked her for not telling the man that I was awake, seeing as how I was way too tired to answer any questions he might've had for me.
I felt my foot twitch a little, mentally cursing myself and desperately hoping that neither of them noticed the spontaneous muscle movement. I heard a creak from a chair nearby, and the sound of shuffling feet as someone began to walk towards me.. I began to panic, but tried my best to keep my breaths under control.
I felt a hand on my arm, before a sharp pinch of the IV needle made me involuntarily gasp. "All right, I definitely heard something that time. And no, it isn't because I haven't slept in a week." The man said, making me erupt with dread, my heart rate starting to spike. Thank goodness they didn't have me hooked up to a heart monitor, or my irregular heartbeat would have alerted them to my awareness pretty quickly.
I barely caught the soft chuckle of the old woman before she started speaking. "She's probably waking up. The shot was only supposed to last two or three hours, and seeing as how it's been about five now, it's high time she got up." There was a slight pause before the woman continued. "Seriously though, you need sleep. Take a nap or two before you pass out teaching! Speaking of which, don't you have a class you need to be getting to?"
The man grumbled a garbled response that I didn't quite catch. The woman laughed, replying, "Of course. Now get going! I think she's almost awake." I heard another squeak from another chair before hearing the door open and then close. There were a few moments of tense silence before the nurse lady started to giggle in a controlled manner, if giggling could be controlled. "You're lucky he's as dense as he is and didn't notice that you were already awake."
I opened my eyes tentatively and looked at the old woman, who was now untying me from the gurney that I was laying on. She smiled at me, walking over to a nearby desk. "What's your name, sweetheart?" I tried to respond, but all that came out was a croak from my extremely dry throat. She let out a dejected sigh, as if expecting my slight dehydration. She brought me a cup filled with what looked like water.
Too desperate to ease the burning in my throat, I took the cup from her with shaky hands, not caring that the liquid could be drugged, or simply not water at all. I drank quickly, emptying the cup before the nurse took it back for a refill. She handed me the cup again, and I took a smaller sip.
"Prismarine Jackson." I said, my voice coming out scratchy. The woman jumped a bit, startled by my sudden outburst. "My name is Prismarine Jackson."
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Jackson." the woman smiled again. It was a rather nice smile, one that a grandmother might give to her secret favorite grandchild.
"Are you a grandmother?" I blurted out. Her eyes widened at my random question. "It's just that... well... your presence is warm, comforting... kind of what I'd imagine a grandmother's would be..." I trailed off, my cheeks flushing pink with embarrassment.
"Oh! Not biologically, no. Though working at U.A. has kind of given me more than enough 'grandkids'!" She laughed as I gave a faint smile. The room settled into a peaceful quiet. I felt my eyelids drooping, and I heard the woman say, "Go ahead and sleep for a few more hours, child. Heaven knows you'll need it." And with that, I drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
