A/N: I couldn't help but to do a simple and very cliché "proposal but they aren't supposed to hear it" scene. I love them haha, I hope you guys do too even though this literally sucks. It's so repetitive, and for that I'm sorry. It's late, I'm tired, and like always: check for grain :))

"Grian I... I love you. I love you so much. God- you're my everything. I would give you everything." Mumbo paced in his living room. Holding a certain something in his hand working on his soon-to-be-told speech. He nodded, approving of what he's said so far. "Seeing you happy is all I want in life. Without you, I was stuck in the dark. You bring so much joy and light to me, I am never upset or sad, because I always know you're waiting for me." He continued his rushed walking, his hands deep in his pockets, still feeling the little box.

The ring he chose was a decently simple band. Wasn't too complicated but still had a nice design engraved into it. A gold band with small details only noticed if you looked for them long enough. It even had a little message on the inside; a simple: "l love you."

Mumbo was proud of his choice; he thought it would make Grian happy.

Speaking of the little spoon, he had been standing in the dark door way, listening to Mumbo this whole time. He loved hearing his boyfriend praise him, but this was just tear jerkingly sweet. He almost popped out more than once to tackle him with hugs and kisses like the little dork he was but, he stopped himself. The guilt he has knowing he isn't supposed to hear this. The last Mumbo knew, he was in bed, asleep.

Mumbo continued once more, "Grian... I would spend the rest of my days with you. Everyday I'll listen to you and get closer to you even when we think it can't happen anymore. I want to grow old with you, I want to love you until the end of time. Or until we die... Whatever comes first."

Grian lightly chucked at the small joke which alarmed Mumbo, literally causing him to scream, jump, and spin at the same time. And, like the Looney tunes cartoons, Grian was pretty sure he stayed in the air for a while before coming back down. Watching that made Grian roll in laughter, almost quite literally. After reseeing it for the 4th time in his head, he laughed even harder. He know's he shouldn't, but how couldn't he?

Mumbo got back up and dusted the cat hair off of him, looking at the "ninja" that was wiping a tear away from laughing so hard.

Once Grian noticed Mumbo staring, he stopped and realized- "hey, you weren't supposed to see that, ya spoon."

"Uh- uhm... How much of that did you hear- or see?" Mumbo rubbed his arm. He looked almost.. Disappointed? Like he was terrified of what Grian could say. He practically proposed to the guy; just so happened to be earlier then planned.

"Were you planning to propose?"

"Didn't I just do it?"

"You didn't finish, ya know?"

"What do you me-" Anyone could see the lights click in Mumbo's head, "-oh." Mumbo chuckled, maybe more than he should have. "okay, Grian-" He got on one knee, and reached for the box, realizing it wasn't there. The hell?

In a hurried panic, and ignoring the giggling man behind him, he scooted around looking for the small black box. It also didn't help that it was dark as hell in their living room. He's guessing it must have fallen out when- you know. Finally finding it on the ground though, he scooted back and tried again.

"-ahem. As I was saying: Grian... I know you heard the last whole speech and as previously stated, I love you so so so much. More than life it's self so please..." He shook as he pulled the ring out, he was nervous. In his defense, this wasn't supposed to happen this way either but- oops. Mumbo placed the band on Grian's finger and said, "...will you marry me?"

"Of course!! Ahh- I could scream-"

"Please don't-" Both of them laughed as they embraced. Mumbo even kissing all over the other's face and not stopping until he became aware of Grian trying to speak. Pulling back, he knew they were both crying. Happy tears, of course, but cupping Grian's face, he wiped the tears with his thumb. "Hey- turn on the light and look at it better. It'll probably look better that way."

"It can get better?"

Laughing once more, he said, "I guess so- oowwwwww. Little warning next time, yeah?"

"Heheh, sorry, my love."
