DEMON 14 | ...

[ insert a playlist here ]

OBANAI could only gaze at your feature as you stare out his window, he felt bad for knocking you out but he felt more bad that it made you remember the memories you two shared.

"What are you planning to do after..." You sighed, "...we defeated the demon who caused all of this?"

Tucking a hair behind your ear as you await his answer. Hot. He blushed but cleared his throat, "Live things normally. What about you?" Marry you and have you bear our child.

"Visit my brother."

His arousing thoughts slipped away as soon as those new words part your pink lips, "You have a brother?"

You bob in answer.

Part of you hoped that you didn't had one but it was God's blessing that made you earn the title of a sister. Obanai squint his colored eyes in wonder, never have he heard of a male holding your last name.

"He must be waiting." He should not be. The male growled, knowing that he was being rude but who gives a damn when he's getting a dent.

"I don't know. He probably is."

Damn. The pillar's mind started wondering off the window, forgetting the conversation between you two.

"But he probably hates me." You rub the pressure seeping out of your arm, "...that his sister left him to rot."

Wait. Hold the snake.

Obanai averted his eyes on you, comprehending on what you just said. Rot? Do you mean your brother was dead? He was fully paying attention as your chest heaved in grief.

"Seeing Tanjiro protect Nezuko on that mountain just remind how selfish of a sister I was." By now, the concerned male encircled you in a hug. The loving smell that he wanted to sniff for so long. How Obanai hopes you wouldn't use the past on him - he'll probably murder himself afterwards.

"What happened?"

"My father got him."

"Sister. I'm tired." Maito softly sob under you warm hand as you walk in the emptiness of the wood. You've been walking for over three days, scavenging for food and what more to survive.

A smile plaster on your lips at the drowsiness in your brother's eyes as he tried rubbing them away, "Shh...shh...come here."

He did as told and wrapped his small arms around your shoulder before lifting him up on your back, "I'll carry you, okay? Just tell me when you feel cold."

He nodded.

The walk to survive took hours before you found an abandon shed for the upcoming night. When you settled your brother on the side, you made sure to keep all opening closed and make a small fire for you two to keep warm.

Just small enough not to get noticed.

You were lucky to find some berries growing inside the shed since it really was not occupied for a long time. Placing the berries next to your brother, you pat his soft hair locks.
