Third p.o.v
"Yes, that's right." The girl smiles seductively at the man, holding a glass of wine in her hand. "What have we here?" A voice interrupts their conversation. Her eyes show a bit of surprise before looking down. Oh? He matured a lot. Her lips curves up into a smirk.
"I heard that our uncle had a visitor. But I never imagined that visitor would be you." He gives her a cold look. But he still has this stoic expression, just like Beatrix.
"It's been a long time, Reiji. If only you weren't so stiff, you would look just like Karl from back when I first met him." She drawls, her eyes examining his face.
He isn't amused.
"Please do not needlessly involve my father's name. I find it seriously offensive." With his index finger he pushes his glasses up, looking quite pissed at her statement. Even though he doesn't show it, she has seen him around long enough to spot the differences. The little twitch in his eyebrow also says enough.
"Don't be so standoffish. Come closer." She doesn't need to turn to know he teleported. "It is apparent that scheming comes as naturally as breathing to you." He answers instead, standing in the middle. She watches him from the corner of her eye. He's certainly more mature than Laito.
"Reiji, must I explain? I want to stay vibrant as long as I live." Her voice almost has a dishonest tone, covered with sweetness. Who the fuck do you think you are? A soft, dangerous voice suddenly whispers in her head. Oh, the girl. She muses silently. Ahh, well her soul will be gone soon enough.
"I will tell you what I despise the most. Boredom. Boredom is the most painful thing immortals like ourselves can endure." She begins instead, ignoring the voice in her head. "Wouldn't you agree?"
"Yes, you have a point. Boredom doesn't suit you. Death suits you much better." Her nose crinkles a little and she narrows her eyes.
"I will take that as a compliment. Won't you sit over there? I would like to talk face-to-face." She switches tactics, gesturing to a small stool next to her.
He stays quiet. Stubborn, just like Karl.
"What's this? Are you being defensive? In that respect, you're exactly like Beatrix." She struck a nerve. With a smirk she continues.
"You suppress your emotions and try to hide how you feel. She ultimately met a useless, pathetic end." He looks almost like he want to kill her right there on spot, knowing that Richter is keeping an eye on him.
"Oh, my! Did I touch a nerve? Beatrix didn't seem to love you as much as she loved Shu, her eldest son, so I assumed you wouldn't mind if I slandered her." The satisfaction of seeing him struggling to keep his voice is even is amusing.
She licks her lips inside her head.
"I see. So, that is how you turned my father and his brother, my uncle, on one another."
"Are you suggesting that I tore them apart?" She feigns being mildly surprised, but continues with trying to make him snap.
"You make me sound like the root of all evil." Maybe you are. Stupid girl, you can never even think of defeating me.
"You could be right. I may be the reason Karl and Richter's once-friendly relationship deteriorated." She explains halfhearted, waving it away.
"Their bond couldn't have been that strong if it could be ruined by a woman like you." Richter glances shortly at Reiji, showing no emotions.
She holds up her hand before he tries to do something that'll ruin her plans.
"You are remarkable observant for a son of Beatrix. I like you even more."
She stands up and grasps Reiji behind the back of his head.
"Your eyes look just like Karl's." Her voice chances to a seductive tone, as she reaches with her other hand to take his glasses off his face.
"I will let you in on my secret out of respect for your eyes." She wipes a bit of his hair out of his eyes. "I came back to life..." Her right hand trails down his shoulder and she ensures he bends a bit towards her so she can whisper in his ear. "...In order to take revenge on Karl. I will make him pay with his death."
She kisses the side of his neck.
"Revenge for not loving you?" He has big mouth.
"It appears you don't understand men and women yet. My desire to kill him is the greatest proof of my love."
"In other words you want to push your love upon him whether he wants it or not?" Her expression turns into a scowl as she turns back to him again.
"You certainly are fond of speaking out of turn. I think I will silence that mouth of yours." She says before planting a small smirk on her face again. After all she has the idea he 'likes' the girl she currently possesses.
Her soft lips lock with his ones before she pulls away to look at his face.
His eyes are trailing on her lips as he circles his arm around her waist and pulls her close again for another kiss. Oh, I think this might be her first kiss, looking at how her body reacts. This one lasts a bit longer before he pulls away again, a sigh escaping his lips. "Please don't toy with me."
"I'm becoming interested in you as a man." He hand lingers on his cheek, and her lips still stretched out in a smug smirk.
"And what of my uncle?" So he's worried about that.
"He doesn't object to whatever I choose to do. Now, let's continue. We have all the time in the world." She brings him closer again, nibbling on the bottom of her lip. "Now, come." He scoffs. What?
He face morphs into surprise as she looks back at him. " I think I'll pass. I'm simply not attracted to corrupt women of loose morals." In her head she hears a snort, and she feels the fury increasing inside her.
A loud smack is heard through the place. How dare he? Does he not understand what he just lost? Only men of the highest-
"Come on, let's stop this fighting. We're family." Oh? She walks to the railing, only to be greeted with a familiar face.
"Laito." She smirks, leaning on the railing.
