Dear son.

If you're reading this it would mean that I'm no longer with you, I'm writing this while you're laying on your back sucking on a toy I bought you the other day, you look adorable.

I assume when you're reading this that you are of age or grown enough to start working, I wanted to tell you first off I am sorry...about everything.

I'm sorry if things don't go as planned and I'm sorry I was not there for you for many important events in your life, but I truly love you and ashamed I couldn't spend more time with you and see you grow, I hope you turn out like your mother, strong inside out and full of life and love.

Love you forever your father Jan Kim.

You let a breath out.

The beautifully handwritten letter stayed in your hand while the other rubbed your eyes.

A concerned toshinori sat across from you on the kitchen table while trying to figure out how you felt. This morning a box was sent to toshinori's house through the mail and it had your name on it.

You figured it was Kane who sent it but didn't exactly expect what was sent.

The box was filled with old albums and a few letters and notes.

You put the letter down then pulled out one of the albums that had was named truly you, colored mint green.

Inside the mint-colored photo album there were pictures showing off different people and sceneries, the ones that got your eye were the ones with your mother and your dad.

You remember your mother always telling you that he was young and died early from being ill but apparently that wasn't the case either.

Everything about her looked beautiful and you took after her, your eyes and hair were all her but your jaw, lips, and height were all him.

Heck even his basic as hell fashion sense was like you, you could tell that you were somehow a younger image of both of them mixed well with each other.

One of the pictures was them posing in front of the Eiffel Tower, you guessed it was after they got married since the note next to it said:

Day 20 of being officially yours.

Another picture showed them standing in a street full of people in New York.

They liked to travel I guess.

One picture that got your attention the most though was the one where your father had his eyes two different colors.

One was pink and another one was red.

In a few other pictures he had brown eyes but as you kept looking you saw the change.

You had your father's quirk.

Or at least a version of it.

All you could gather from those old photos were the idea that your parents truly loved each other and spent the majority of their life traveling it seemed.

There were a few older pictures of each one of them. Your mother was as lovely as a rose in her teen days and your father looked like.....complete nerd.

Big thick glasses and his hair was cut so badly, you were surprised at how the glow up he got when he grew up changed him and made him a more decent looking guy.

At the very bottom laid a small photo album with a name tag that had your name written on it with golden ink.

Hikari.
