Dormitory, Beacon Academy
Early hours of the morning...

Grabbing his bag and towel, making his way to the door and walking outside, the breeze of the new day was a blessing to the young huntsman in training as he took it in with a deep breath. Feeling the sun radiate his skin and warm the hairs on his body from light alone, Conor smiled.

'This', he thought to himself. Fortunate to experience it in all of its glory and humble that not everyone is as lucky as he is.

The person behind him?

Scowl on his face, looking as if he just went through the worst experience of his life.

"How. Do. You do that?", his muscles so sore and achey that if he were to be even touched he may keel over and cry

"What do I have to say Jaune? Time and patience."

"More like torture and self-hatred."

Walking back towards the dorms, both were taking it slow, enjoying the morning sunrise, the orange glimmer touching the top of the towers and illuminating the grey stone.

"So Jaune, how's the Cardin issue coming along?", he asked suddenly to his friend

This has been an issue. Sure, Jaune has stayed true to his word when it came to trying with him and he showed great things to come if would to continue. The same could not be said about his academic performance. Something was amiss, he had missed study sessions with his team, skipped class every other day, and has practically vanished from his leadership position of JNPR. All of this of course information was thanks to either observation or a certain redhead. She seemed most distraught over the situation. Both knew Cardin was still picking on Jaune. The question is why specifically Jaune and how is he getting him to comply?

"Okay...I guess.", he replied, in a way sensing where the conversation would go

"Well I know the residential bully is still having his way with you. Jaune, admitting that you need help is fine, we all have our moments of darkness and in those times friends are needed the most.", Conor said suggestively, now looking at the blonde in the eye

Jaune now fully stopped, had a look of annoyance etched on his face, "I can take care of it myself Conor, nobody believes me in this! Not you, not Pyrrha, nobody!", he said throwing his hands in the air

"Jaune, I'm not saying you can't take of it yourself, but I am offering to help, because that's what friends do.", Conor now a bit strained on patience

"Well I don't want your help!", Jaune said, his ego getting the better of him

There was a silence for a few minutes and with each passing by the sound of birds chirping happily instead only added into the tense force between the two, like daggers in the air

"Prove it."

"What?"

Conor turned to Jaune, "I want you to prove it to me today then.", and with that Conor turned his way into his dormant shut the door, leaving Jaune in the hallway to contemplate his predicament

With a heavy sigh, he entered his dorm with his teammates just now waking up, Ren the first and staring inquisitively at the team leader

"You're already awake?", he asked, stretching his arms to the sky, craning his neck around

"Was training with Conor.", the answer appeasing the ninja, nodding and heading towards the bathroom

Both red heads of the team had yet to awaken as there was still a few hours before class, but it wouldn't be long before they were both up.
