"Fancy seeing you here," I murmured, looking away.
"You too."
I pulled my chair out and sat back down. Shifting a little to the left, as I rearranged my books and placed them back down. I was trying to ignore him and hopefully, distract myself from all these horrible feelings I'm currently going through.
The whole darkness brought me back into reality.
But honestly, I don't know which one's better.
"What made you move here?"
I glared at him but stopped. It was already too obvious that I didn't want to be bothered.
"Stuff," I simply said. And opened my Biology textbook.
"We're not even learning that chapter yet," he chuckled.
"I'd rather familiarise myself with a new chapter before we start learning," I coldly answered.
"I get that you don't feel like talking. And I probably know why. But what's in the past, stays in the past. Remember?"
"Sure, so let me completely acknowledge you as a stranger, huh?" I spat out.
"Not like that, let's just start things over."
"No, Jax, I don't want to 'start things over'. I don't want to start anything with you," I grumbled, finally turning to look at him.
He sighed, "I know what I did was immature. But that was 3 whole years ago. I can tell you that I am a changed person. Someone you can rely on this time," he reassured me.
I just stared blankly at him, "Sure, Jax."
"Okay everyone, bring out your textbooks and flip them to page 18. I want all of you to brainstorm before we begin today's lesson."

"Okay, everyone. That's everything for today. Make sure all your homework is completed by the next lesson. I want them all by then."
"Yes," I smiled, finally having a break after 2 hours of classes.
I stood up and took a stretch. packing away my things before I leave the classroom.
As I began to leave the classroom, I encountered the same guy I accidentally bumped into. He stopped in his tracks when he saw me. This time, he had a smirk on.
"You're that new kid in my Bio class, right?" he asked.
"Yea?" I answered in a questioned tone. Slightly weirded out that he talked to me.
"Blair, is it?" he asked again.
"Yes," I replied in a lower tone.
"Cool," he said.
"I'll get going now..." I trailed off and started walking away from him.
What a weirdo.
"But oh well, now I just need to keep these books away," I sighed.
The hallways are crowded again. And I'm not familiar with the whole place yet. But I currently don't have my map with me.
"This might take a while again," I groaned.
"Need help?" a feminine voice asked.
"Thank goodness, yes! I do!" I exclaimed in relief.
"I knew it," she laughed. "I could tell you were very lost.
"Thanks for asking. I can't seem to remember where my locker is," I scratched my head.
"Oh, that's pretty easy. What's your locker number?" she asked.
"It's 850," I remembered.
"Oh, mine is 827, I can take you there!" she smiled.
"That would be great."
She led me to through the hallways and I followed beside her. It was awkward at first since I didn't know what to say or talk about. I mean, I've just met her a while ago and I didn't know if we're going to be good friends after this. But not long after, she started talking and we would jump from simple introductions into friendly topics.
I soon discovered that her name is Paulette.
"So, have you met anyone nice so far?" she asked.
I became a little hesitant, "I did run into this guy by accident," I mentioned. She immediately went all ears and asked me if I knew his name.
"Unfortunately, not, but I figured that he was a weirdo anyway," I shrugged.
She laughed, "What does he look like?"
"Well, he has dark brown hair, about 5'10 and has dark blueish eyes," I retraced his face in my mind. "Honestly, he looks pretty annoyed, so I quickly walked off."
Paulette was taken aback for a second, "Was he wearing a dark leather jacket?"
"Yeah, how did you know that?" I looked back at her, a little astonished.
"Blair, that's Hunter Norris," she said with her eyes widened.
"Okay, so what? Is he someone well-known?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, he is a huge deal here in Winchester High!" she threw her hands up in the air.
"Who exactly is he?" I frowned, finally reaching my locker. I unlocked it and pulled it open, my books, scattered all around. So, I took the time to arrange them properly as I listen to Paulette's little story.
"He is the cruellest bad boy out there, like literally," she gasped. "He is so cold-hearted, to almost everyone and yet tons of girls fell for him that easy. Almost every day, you'll see one or two girls crying at the side of the hallway, or in the girls' restroom. That's when you know they've been rejected by him."
I raised both my eyebrows, "Well, that's intriguing. I thought the whole outfit was just for show."
"Apparently, not," she gritted.
"Isn't he like a player or something? I mean like, why else would anyone fall for him when he's so cold?" I asked, the whole rejection thing just wasn't making any sense.
"No, Blair. Players and bad boys can be two different things. Hunter is a whole different type of bad boy."
"Yikes, then I wonder why he approached me earlier," I spoke out my thought.
"He did what?" she gasped, covering her mouth.
"We met by accident again, after I finished my class. He just asked me if I was that new girl, Blair, in his Biology class earlier, nothing much, then I just left as soon as I said yes," I shrugged, crossing my arms to my chest.
"That's, weird," her tone softened. "Hunter never approaches any girl like that, at least, not until now."
I looked at her in disbelief, "Are you for real?"
She looks back at me, "I mean, in the past three years in high school, I've never heard of any such thing like that coming from a bad boy," she laughed at the last phrase.
I shake my thoughts away, "Whatever, he was kind of a weirdo to do that anyway," I blabbed.
"I mean, why would anyone fall for someone like him? I know I won't," I shake my head as I plopped in my books and shut the locker. "He sounds like a total heartthrob to me."
"Who sounds like a what now?"
