I stepped back a few times, he was too close to me. And obviously, I'm not very comfortable about that.

"Can I help you?" I asked him, trying to be a little more 'polite'.

"Uh, I was just wanna talk," he told me, seeming embarrassed.

There again with the 'talk'. What is up with guys and conversations?

"And what is there to 'talk' about?" I crossed my arms.

"About us."

I cringed, "What do you mean 'us'? There is no 'us' when it comes to you and me."

That might've sounded harsh but I'm very irritated and I would gladly appreciate it if he just takes the hint and leaves me alone.

"I know, but I mean, we could start over as friends?" he suggested, sounding very hopeful

I bit my lip, looking at him. He was expecting me to say yes. And I could see it in his eyes. He expects too much from me. But I was hesitant. So, I solidly stared blankly at him for a while before saying, "I'll think about it."

He nodded, "Sure, take your time. I don't mind."

He thinks that I'm going to say yes.

"Blair, your drink is ready!" I heard Olivia called.

"I gotta go now," I told him.

He nodded, "I'll see you tomorrow at school?"

"Yeah," I mumbled and took my drink. "I guess so," and left.

I got into the car and set off. I snapped a picture of my drink and posted it onto my social media accounts. That just reminded me of the text that I've just received earlier. From that unknown number. I went back onto my home screen and stared at the app.

My mind was in the sky for as long as I could remember. Probably about 5 minutes straight. Because that's when I knew, I've reached home. I entered the house with my spare keys that are stripped onto my bag and unlocked the door.

The house was completely emptied since nobody else was home. Both my parents are out of town for a couple of days which means that I'm in charge of the house. And taking care of myself. I was the only child, but I have a golden retriever to keep me accompanied. Bella has been my only best friend in the house. And I needed her comfort right now.

"Bella," I called out for her. My voice echoing around the house.

I heard a soft bark coming from upstairs and raced to the flight of stairs.

"Bella," I called again in a sweet tone and the tiny fella skipped down the stairs and jumped onto my lap, causing me to fall over.

I laughed, "Let's feed you."

I walked to the kitchen and pulled out her bowl with her name printed out in white at one side of the bowl. Upon the cupboards is where her food is stored. But I could barely reach the top. I dragged a stool by the kitchen table and used it to climb. Bella was behaving as he watched me grab her box of doggy treats.

Once I reached down, I poured a bunch of her treats into her bowl and placed it on the floor. I picked her water bowl up and refilled fresh new tap water by the sink before plopping it down next to her treats.

I climbed up and wandered into my bedroom. I dropped my bag aside and jumped right on the bed. Today isn't the best. And the worst thing is, there's tomorrow. And it's only Monday. I'm unsure whether I hate it already or if I am on the verge of screaming by the top of my lungs.

And I'm not sure if I go anywhere near Hunter anymore.

After leaving him like that, I'm not sure if he'll spare me for the day.

And I haven't even dealt with Jax's situation.

I shut my eyes for a while and immediately, the picture of the mysterious number flooded right into my mind that made me jump off the bed and search for my phone. Soon, I found it laying on my vanity. I picked it up and unlocked it.

"Who's this from?" I asked myself.

As I opened the text, I read it saying, 'Can't wait to see you tomorrow.'

Immediately, I threw my phone on my bed and went for a shower.

A long, hot shower.

I took off my clothes and wrapped myself around with a towel, then locked myself in the bathroom. In the next 20 minutes, I was out of the bathroom. So, I headed back into my room and started drying myself. I pulled out my laptop and set it on my bed.

Time to do some work.

It took me the next 3 hours to complete and study everything before I received a video call from my parents. I accepted it and placed my laptop on my lap.

"Hi mom, dad," I waved at the camera.

"Hi, how was your day at school?" my dad asked.

I paused, "Good."

"That's great to hear. Have you fed Bella yet?" my mom started asking.

I nodded, "She's downstairs."

"Alright, remember to complete your homework. You've missed out an entire week so be sure to catch up in class," my dad started to remind me.

"Don't stay up too late, eat your dinner on time and we'll see you in the next few weeks," my mom stated.

"Yea, I will mom," I laughed. "I'll catch up with you guys tomorrow after school."

"Alright, we'll see you at the end of the month," my dad nodded, and soon, our call ended.

I shut my laptop closed and laid down. I've completely lied to them about school.

"Whatever, I'm probably just overreacting," I talked myself out of it and unlocked my phone.

I had nearly forgotten about the fact that I've left the unknown number on reading. But something tells me that it may or may not be Hunter.

"I'm just going to save his contact anyways," I decided and clicked on his profile.

But oh, am I so careless enough to accidentally click the call button.
