Album: The Rolling Stones
Artist: The Rolling Stones
Running Time: 33:24
Review:
The Rolling Stones are one of those bands that everyone kind of knows. I've never been a massive fan of the band (I prefer the Beatles, oops), but I do know and like several of their hits. But I've never listened to a full album before, so that's a milestone in itself for me. Moving onto the actual album: it's nice, it's concise, and it's very 60s "rhythm and blues", but nothing really blew me away. Of course I'm not judging them too harshly, it is their debut after all, and it does have some catchy tunes. Most of the songs on the album are covers. But besides that, the album didn't fully blow me away. I would say give this album a pass -- there's much stronger material in the band's later discography.
Standout songs: Route 66, Mona (I Need You Baby)
Score: 6/10
