I walk to school, fiddling with my locket. When I get into the choir room, Matthew's already there. "Hey Matt! How are you?" I ask, running over to help with chairs. "I'm good. How 'bout you?" He asks. "Well, my mom was actually home yesterday, and gave me this locket. She's glad I found a friend like you. She kept joking I should put a picture of you in the locket." I say, laughing a bit. "Want to go to the park later? My parents said it would be alright if I was home late." He says. "Sure. My parents just want me home no later then ten o'clock. They trust me." I say, smiling. "Well, that's all the chairs. Why don't we talk to pass the time?" Matt suggests, sitting. I sit next to him, and fiddle with my locket. "Hey, I have a camera in my bag. Why don't you put a picture if me in your locket as a prank to your parents?" He suggests. "No! I'm not that mean. Besides..." I trail off. "Besides?" He asks, as the choir students come in. "It's nothing." I mumble. We do choir as normal, then the bell rings. "Welp, I gotta go take a physics test. See you after school Matt!" I yell, grabbing my bag. Matt and I have the same teachers, just not at the same time. Someone grabs the back of my bookbag. "Where you off to?" Asked Ace, our school bully. "I have a test Ace, don't make me late." I say calmly. It scares everyone how calm I am in these situations. "I just wanted to know if you wanted to go out with me tonight." Even though he's the school bully, almost every girl has a crush on him. "No, I'm not going out with a jerk like you. Now let go of me before I'm late to class." I say coolly. Before I could process it, a punch hit my nose. Hard. I wiped under my nose, and it was bleeding. "Thank you for that lovely gift Ace, now I must be going." I say, running off to the nurses office. "YN! This is the seventh time this month! Was it Ace again?" She asks. "Yeah. He wants me to go out with him. Not sure why most girls here are head over heels for him." I say as she cleans the wound. I go to look at my locket, but it's not there. "I just got the darn thing!" I mumble as the nurse gives me a note for being late. "I'm going to report him for you sweetie. Good luck on your test!" She says. I smile and walk to class. "YN. Your late for the seventh time this month." My Science teacher says. "I have a note. Was at the nurse again." I say, handing her the note. She hands me my test and gives me a thumbs up. I feel that she gave me two packets instead if one. I look at the name of the second copy, and it says Answer Key. I hold it close to my chest and walk to her desk, making sure no one saw it. "You gave me your answer key. I didn't look the answers at all, and I wanted to return it." I say, giving it to her. "Thanks YN. I got lucky to have you as my student." She says. I continue with my test, and finish. The bell rings and I head to my next class.

-After school-

I walk to the front of the school where Matthew wanted to meet, and I'm met by Ace. "Hey Sweet Cheeks. Ready for that date?" He asks. "Do you have amnesia? I said no. I don't want to go out with a jerk like you." I say, repeating what I said this morning. Then I remembered my locket. "Do you have my locket, by any chance Ace?" I ask, making eye contact. "Nope. Some kid stole it from me." He said. "After you stole it from me?" I asked. "You lent me it Sweet Cheeks. You said for me to get a picture of myself in there." He says. "No I didn't. Will you please stop bothering me?" I ask, looking behind him to see Matthew, oblivious that I'm over here. "Alright, alright. See you tomorrow Sweet Cheeks." He says, blowing me a kiss. I run over. "Matt! Hey, sorry. Ace kept me." I apologise. "What happened to your nose?" He asks, seeing the bandage. "Ace happened. He also stole my brand new locket. Said some kid stole it from him, which I doubt." I rant angrily. "Actually, that part's true." He says, pulling out my locket. He goes behind me as I lift up my hair, and puts it on. "Thank you Matt. I owe you one." I say. "It's fine. Anything for a friend. Now, we'll stop by my house to grab an early dinner, then go to the park and what the sub set. Sound alright to you?" He asks. "Let me text my mom real quick." I say, bring out my phone to text. She responds with a 'Sure thing! Be back by 10." I give him a thumbs up. We walk to his house. "What's your last name?" I ask. "Patrick. Why?" He asks. "I usually address people by last name. It's... Formal in my parents eyes." I explain. He opens the door and I smell delicious smells. "That smells Devine." I say. "Glad you like it!" I hear a peppy voice say. "You must be Mrs. Patrick. Honored to meet you." I say. "The honor is all mine! It's almost ready. You two going out to the park on a date afterwards correct?" She asks. I blush as I stutter. "We're just f-friends. I-it isn't like that. R-right M-att?" I ask. He nods, also a blushing mess. I sit at the table as Matthew's family does. We start eating, and I make sure I remain lady-like. As we finish, Mat gets excused and he grabs a picnic basket. "Ready to go?" He asks. "Yes. Thank you for the lovely meal Mr and Mrs Patrick. I don't get home meals often." I say, quickly exiting with Matt.
