(I just fell and my dad asked if I broke fall. I had to think about it, but I did. Break falling us when you use your arm to stop you from taking the full impact)
I walk into Duke, and go through security. I didn't have anything on me, and I went straight to the testing room. I did the test in a matter of a few hours, and when I finished, the woman said she'll have the results and email me this weekend. I walk home to see Matt on the couch. I silently walk to my room, and read a book. "YN? I didn't even hear you get back. What's wrong?" He asks. "Nothing. I just didn't really have anything to say. I'll be drawing if you need me." I say. He walks back downstairs, and I look at the drawing of Matt and the unfamiliar girl. "Hmm. It's probably nothing." I say, puting it in my folder so I know to ink and color it. I draw for the rest of the day, not eating since I was nervous about my results.
-Timeskip to next weekend-
I wake up to Matt shaking me. "What is so important that you wake a tigress from her slumber?" I ask playfully. "We both got our results in! They just sent us the emails, and I wanted to check them at the same time." He explains. I jump from the couch and go to my computer as he does his. "One... Two... Three!!!" Matt says. "There has to be some mistake..." Both of us murmur. We lock eyes with each other. "I got a perfect score." We both say. "I guess we're in. How'd we manage to get a perfect score?!" I ask. "We did study for a month. Straight. When do we move into the dorms?" He asks. I read over my email. "Blah blah blah blah... Oh! Two weeks from now. Last sentence should tell you your form number." I say. "Alright. Your stuff is mostly already in suitcases. Do you want me to start packing now, or..." He asks me. "Pack the day before. I'll help you out with that. Though, sadly I can't help you out with unpacking, since I can't be in the guys area, and vice versa." I say. "Wanna take turns playing Zelda?" Matt asks. "You read my mind! Of course, my turns are probably beating up monsters that decide to jumpscare you." I say, laughing a bit. "What can I say? Twilight Princess has the most realistic graphics!" He says. I shrug. That lasted about a week, until we beat the game. "Midna... No...." Matt says, tearing up as Midna shatters the Mirror of Twilight. "Matt, are you crying?" I ask. "No. Your crying." He retorts stubbornly. "Come here." I say, pulling him into a hug and ruffle his hair. "Let's go to our room. We have to clean a bit anyways." I suggest, turning off the Wii and TV.
-Moving time-
I grab everything and neatly put them in my suitcases. I had everything packed up. Three suitcases and two bookbags. My roommate had emailed me and said she'd take care of plates, bowls, silverware, and stuff like that. "Matt. If your just throwing stuff in you won't have room in your suitcase." I point out, taking out everything and putting it back neatly. "That's actually everything. I can't wait to meet my roommate!" Matt says. "Me as well. We've email each other a bit, and she decided she'd take care of the essentials we don't own, like silverware and stuff." I explain. I go out to my car, and put my two suitcases in the trunk, one in the backseat, along with my school bookbag, and my Tech/Art bookbag in front. I adjust the lockets on my neck, and notice Matt is all packed up and ready to follow me. We drive there, both of us on the phone so we can talk. We finally make it at around noon. I get tapped on the shoulder by someone as I'm getting my stuff from my car. "Are you by any chance YN?" She asks. "Indeed I am... your... I'm sorry I'm not good with names." I say, smiling. "My name's Stephanie. Stephanie Cordato. I'm your roommate. Do you need help with your bags?" She asks. "That would be nice. Thanks Stephanie." I say. "Call me Steph. Say, who was the guy following you until you stopped here?" She asks. "That's my boyfriend, Matthew. He's a huge softy." I say as we both drag my luggage to the dorm. Downstairs was the Living Room/Kitchen area, and upstairs was our rooms and bathroom. "There's only one bathroom, so we'll have to make sure we be quick when getting ready." She says, puting my suitcase and schoolbag down. "Thank you Steph. You took care of the essentials we didn't own at the time?" I ask. "Sure did. I gave you the bigger room, since I didn't have much stuff." She says. I put my ukulele on an instrument hook I put on the wall, as well as my guitar, then put I/c (instrument of choice) on a stand. I put my things on/in my dresser, and put a necklace stand up to put my lockets on. I quick fit my room to my liking, then look at my picture folder. At had completely erased Matt from the picture, made a background with something random I thought of, and had inked the women I drew. "Wait a minute... Steph! Can you come in here please?" I yell. She comes in and I glance at the picture, then her. "That can't be possible. Steph, I drew you before I even knew who you were."
"Wow. Nice room by the way. Do you want to play Get To Know You?" She asks. "Sure. You can sit on my bed if you'd like." I say. "Who did you live with before you moved here today!" She asks. "My boyfriend and his family. You?" I ask. "My parents." She responds. We answer questions for the rest if the day, until I get a call from an un familiar contact.
