What happens in the dark

"Bissssh!" I yelled into the phone frantically.

"What's wrong thotta? You in some shit now ain't you" she laughed

"This is serious stop playing"

"Oh shit, I'm sorry. what happened?"

"Zeek talking about me meeting his brothers"

"Jesus Tajasi, you serious?"

"I wish I was pretending"

"Okay, what you do want me to do?"

"He gonna pick me up in a hour. I need you to call me like 20 times back to back I'ma ignore it at first then ima answer. Say its an emergency, Cry and everything ! Please"

"I got you.. but I'm scared for you Thotta. if they find out..."

"It's my head I know. Call in a hour. Matter fact I'ma send you a quick text before I get in the car"

I put the phone on my towel and unplugged the tub so I could take a quick shower. After I got out I put on this black maxi dress, my Gucci flops and threw on a jean jacket. My hair was slick back into a long pony. I put on the gold necklace Zeek got me. It says Zeek and I added some diamond studded ear rings.

I got dressed so fast that there was still another 30 min before he was going to arrive. My ass was shaking. I kept pacing back and forth thinking what if the Raine thing doesn't work. I should have saw this coming. Zeek kept saying how he wanted me to be his girl these past couple weeks. He kept surprising me with gifts and he even dropped the L word. Ugh.. I really dug myself into deep with this one.

*Incoming call from Zeeky bae*

"Hey baby"

"You ready?"

"Yes"

"I'm outside"

"Okay I'm coming give me like 2 min I want to make sure I got everything"

"Okay baby" he hung up

I sent the text to Raine and made my way to the car. When I got in she was already blowing my phone up. MVP I tell y'all.

"Damn baby your phone going off" he spoke with concern.

"It's just my best friend she probably wants to gossip.."

"She gonna have to wait" he smiled pulling off. "I missed you. How was your day?"

"I missed you too my day was good just busy this morning" I said looking down at my phone as she called again.

"Why busy?"

"I had a bunch of stuff to pick up for the restaurant"

"Speaking of.. it's been a minute since since we ate there"

"Yeah" I looked at my phone again

"Baby just answer it... I know you want to"

"Thanks bae I'm sorry hold on" I answered and put her on speaker. "Everything okay sis?"

"NO I NEED YOU NOW ITS AN EMERGENCY! PLEASE SIS!" she yelled putting on a show.

I took her off speaker and looked at Zeek like I was completely worried.

"What Happened?"

"Is it working?" She whispered
